U.S. Department of Education to award environmentally-friendly campuses

• Are they going to install toiletpaper dispencers that only give one sheet of paper every quarter hour? Or put 5 gal. water coolers in the cafeteria with 50 straws coming out the top so everyone can drink from it and save on paper cups? How about a conveyor with the food plopped on it one scoop every 6 inches and everyone scoops a bite at a time as it goes by? No more paper plates! Would this be enviromenatlly-friendly? We have sooo much to look forward to. Makes me want to stock up the camper/truck and hit the mountains.

• Has anyone ever seen the show "Community"? Joel McHale and Chevy Chase are among a group of students at a community college that is a characture of everything that is wrong with the education system. The dean goes out of his way to jump on the bandwagon of every crackpot scheme being pushed in colleges around the country. It's funny and sad at the same time.
  Too bad it's being put on hiatus because of low viewership.

  • We can always fall back on Animal House, at least the students pushed back instead of being led to slaughter.

  • The libs probably think it's a reality show.

• Here's some great material from one of the other stories in that paper, about the hoser behind the Rose Parade Occupados: he's a disbarred lawyer, the rest of the Occupados hate him because he was actually working with police nad civil authorities, and get this, best part now, "In 2010 an article published by the Torrance Daily Breeze reported his run-ins with the law and his mismanagement of a family trust fund.

  According to court documents, family members said Thottam burned through $800,000 of their trust. The money went to pay for margin calls on stock trades."

  Yup, pore little 99 Percenter!
