Okay so the missionaries that came back are both alive. Thanks be to G-d really. I guess I shouldn't be shocked that US healthcare had a lot to do with this and of course it is a blessing from G-d in my own opinion. I think that the thing here is that we are essentially being told what needs to happen in Africa in order for this to not be as horrible as it is: correct infrastructure, sanitation, clean water, fairly good yet compassionate/positively aggressive healthcare, and get rid of all disgusting/immoral/demonic/shamanistic/unsanitary cultural/religious structures that are at the heart and at the main fault of why this disease is spreading as it is now.
For the correct infrastructure to be put in place (as well as sanitation and clean water) African countries need to stop pilfering the billions of dollars (trillions I am sure) in aid that has been sent to the continent for decades now. Companies (US included) need to stop making deals with disgusting dictators, and do more ethical processes in the continent. If the money that is being sent there is to be used wisely, there is no way that African nations would be in the devastating wastelands that many are right now, which would make things like AIDS, Ebola, Malaria, etc. either manageable or extinct.
That money can also go in making sure that there is enough hospitals as well as learned Doctors (international and national which means better universities). Some African countries have done this and others haven't... in the end it goes back to the culture...
Some African nations or regions that have gotten rid of the crap culture that has enslaved and sickened them for centuries are now thriving, the ones that hold on to the crap are crap still. The problem is that a lot of people are going to migrate to the good countries and spread their disease there. That sucks!
I think that we have the ideas in place and the means to implement them, but people are greedy and many are just evil and want to hold on to the crap culture that has done nothing good for them. Unless real changes in attitude and behavior as a whole, the continent of Africa will never advance.

They must have had private insurance. Obamacare wouldn't have covered this, providing they could even find a doctor that would accept the plan.
