US proposes unmanned border crossing with Mexico

• yeah, this makes a pissload of sense! you know canada's border is the real problem...

  • Yeah, Canada is the problem. Seriously, I just thought the entire southern border was unmanned at this point.

• Hold yer fire - it does make sense, in a screwy kinda way. As the story notes, there is 300 miles of entirely undefended border anyway. Just as with firearm laws, the criminals are ignoring it in any case. This proposal is to put in place a remote-control station where law-abiding Mexicans can enter legally, do their business, and go back. Nobody is being pulled away from a manned station to do this. It's making it easier for law-abiding people to obey the law. I think y'all should go back and re-read, it's a jarring headline, I agree, but the notion itself- it's OK. I mean, until we get some actual security along the border, and God knows how long that might be.

• The Obama administration is simply applying their most core principle to this issue of border security: the dishonor system!

• Brilliant idea. We can't stop them from coming in. So, let's spend some more money to build kiosks and bridges? I guess if they put a soda machine beside the kiosk they could generate a little income to pay fo the project. I'm moving to Canada.....

• It is time to draw up the articles of impeachment for dereliction of duty. No way should any state permit this asinine idea to be implemented in their state. It will lead to a total collapse of the infrastructure of the state or states where this lamb brain idea is put in to practice.
