Verizon drops Muslim cable channel A YEAR after owner beheaded his wife at TV studio. So, we have to wonder how long it would have taken them to drop a station owned by a Christian who merely insulted a Muslim?

    Tell me, Rose, what makes you so sure that this man's actions are typical of all or most Muslims?

    Just this week, I read a news story about a filthy house in Texas, where 10 adults and 11 grossly neglected children were living. Shall I conclude from that that all Texans live like pigs in overcrowded houses and tie their children to filthy mattresses? Is it fair to assume that YOU live like that, since you live in Texas, too?

    Or would you just like to admit that, once again, you don't have the common sense to recognize the difference between an aberration and a cultural norm?

          Gosh, Rose, how about telling me what specific points she disagreed with, and why?

          I've never heard of a liberal who thinks it's "crazy" to judge Muslims individually, rather than to generalize about all of them based on one tabloid style horror story. And that's really the only point I've been making on this thread.

          How sad it is that you far righters are so bereft of legitimate arguments that you're reduced to inventing "very liberal" friends to validate your own prejudices. Not too surprising, though. Every time we discuss socialized medicine on this board, several people claim to have really good friends or relatives in Canada or Britain or Sweden, who simply hate socialized medicine and would love to switch to our much more costly and incomplete system.

          It's so easy to invent witnesses and shills in cyberspace.

        Sorry, Silent, but I'm neither "pissed," "confused" nor "butthurt" (whatever that's supposed to imply). I know exactly why you won't respond to my posts. And it says more about you, and the validity of your position, than it does about me.

        No matter, though. I see so many fallacies, false assumptions and just plain lies bandied about on this board, that I'm going to continue to debunk them, even if some posters don't want to see it. You can try to refute my posts, or take the cowardly way out, as you're doing here. It's all the same to me.

  • 1) I suspect they waited to cancel the channel until he was tried and found guilty, in order to avoid a discrimination suit or worse.
    2) Please note this guy is not a "towel headed" radical from the middle east, wit ha prisoner wife and family dressed in full burkas.   • They say the muslimes will lose VOICE? I believe they have all the voice they need. Obama bends over backwards for them because HE IS ONE OF THEM. Everytime they whine about something, the gubment passes another regulation to pamper them. And this is the appreciation they show. Just cut your wife's head off, everything will work out. American's don't philosophy with these kinds of acts. It's inhumane. It's a form of terrorism to thier women. Of course the Koran states that women are lower than animals and that they will all go to hell. Isn't that the religion of peace that they claim? A bloody beheading is peaceful? WOW!   • Verizon can't have their few remaining customers cutting off each others heads now can they. Besides live streaming videos of a beheading eats up too much bandwidth.

  • Well, after reading the article, I can't say that I'm all that upset with Verizon...
    Bridges TV can build its bridge somewhere else. We don't need Muslim TV here in America...we already have enough taqqyia going on with the MSM!
