Walesa Wants New Secular ‘Ten Commandments’

• Interesting how the guy who helped end Communism in Poland now wants to make it the rule of law worldwide.

  • His disagreemenmt with communism is that the likes of him where treated like everyone else and worst, had to work like everyone else.

    But this disagreement have been misinterpreted.

• Um... k... :-/ Wow...

  So.... Pretty much 3 of the commandments: Murder, theft, lying or deceiving to/the authorities/in court of laws are part of any good laws of any "good' government. So the important laws for a secular world are covered pretty much.

  The rest all in all is part of morals of the individual person and their relationship with G-d (if they so choose to have that relationship especially when thinking about the first commandment). It should stay that way UNLESS it leads to things that are bad for humans as listed above.

  Example: Covetousness/Envy should not be against the law (of Man). It should not be punished by Man and Man-made governments because that is something that all people are guilty of doing and it is a sentiment or a feeling or a thought and once we get into punishing feelings/thoughts/sentiments we are getting into the G-d Realm and surely Man should not get into that. Why? Because Man is weak and imperfect (sinful) and the control of how people think always leads to tyranny and unbridled evil at the hands of the few.

  NOW.... when covetousness/envy LEADS a human being murdering another human being (or planning to), stealing from another person, or deceiving/lying to authorities/law members/etc in order to get another human being in trouble OBVIOUSLY those actions or planned actions are against all good laws and should be punished.

  Side note: Yes adultery shouldn't be against the law, that is something that should be between the spouses and their communities and families to figure out.

  There is no need to "secularized" the ENTIRE Judeo-Christian Decalogue. This is a b*tch move trying to find a way to both minimize Judeo-Christian Faith/Philosophy and its values on moral behavior in the culture AND find a way to exercise control over the masses. Think about it...

  If people are encouraged to not make/have other gods then who/what is the deity according to this? The government right? I mean seriously this is all about making government the ultimate lord over people's lives and excuse me secularizing the moral aspects like honoring parents and not committing adultery what exactly does that mean or entail? Especially when these people are not into moral behavior? Unless it would be changed to honoring government officials and allowing government to choose your spouse or some weird sh*t.

  This is all crap but it is also dangerous if it is allowed to fester in the mentality of Progressives who can do something about it.
