• I am no Governor Perry fan, however, he was correct on this venture and this thing right here is all BS.

  If he does get arrested I hope he looks like a GQ model and smile like a he don't give a whip. This entire thing is to embarrass him just because the whacko b*tch went through that herself but it was her fault!

• As Governor, Perry has an obligation to spend the taxpayers' money wisely. Threat or not, it would be an unwise expenditure to have funded her department. He did right by the Texas taxpayers and I hope he continues to fight this bogus charge.

• The democrat party long knives are out for Perry. He had the nerve to enact tort reform in TX, drying up party money.

  • I'd more accurately say it was more the hard-right purists and Biblebeaters who put him in by standing on their "principles" and refusing to vote for Romney, or McCain first time around. Honest to ffkk man, does anyone seriously contend either of them would have been worse than this? At least with McCain, we'd have had Sarah Palin in the wings getting ready for her own top-slot run.

    • I truly do think McCain would have been worse. McCain would support everything that Nanzi put in front of him. Also would have never been 2010 as the elite republicans would have told us to get along because of a republican in the WH.

      IIRC McRino was a huge supporter of increasing the "Cash for running cars" program.

    • Which brings out my point that if Perry is going to run, he needs to make Ted Cruz his running mate. It would at least help wipe away the stain of Perry having been a Dem in the past, and bolster his claim of being a Conservative.
