We don’t doubt the intensity of the storm, just the integrity of the reporters. When you see images of the horrible damage done by Hurricane Sandy, remember this clip from the Today Show back in 2007. Skip to the 3:00 mark to see how the reporter faked the impact of that storm. That being said, our thoughts are with everyone in the path of Sandy. Be safe.

Kinda reminds me of one of the reporter standing ankle deep in water reporting on a tropical storm that was caused by global warming, and a photo of the story shows the reporter standing in a puddle while the whole area around her was dry....No wonder anymore why people don't trust the lame stream media...
Oh btw, not bad here in SE Mass. Windy and rainy, but not too different from any thunderstorm, except that it's been going on for a long time. Lights have flickered a couple times, but I suspect that's just the old house and antique wiring.

Not to be a prick PDad, but check back around midnight, if you still have power & wifi. Hope you weather it or the worst of the front end misses you(power lines\cable down), but some of the reports reminded me of a survey I saw years ago, it was like 70% of NYC residents said the safest place to be during a hurricane was the subway. Uhm, where is all that water going to go?
The other thing is where is all that 'normal' water and storm surge that usually comes from the N'easter going to go since this one came from the south? It's going to follow because it has no choice.
Ah, that was more of a stunt than anything to show it could be done. What, were we supposed to think the cameraman was in a boat too?
