In none of her ads I have seen her talk about what she would do about illegal immigration, the threat of terrorism or what she would do in this or that situation... it is all about how her opponent is an evil evil handicapped man that doesn't deserve my vote. He barely talks about her and concentrates on what he would do on this and that and this. Even if she is right and he is an evil man, he would get my vote. He talks issues, she talks trash.
Gary Johnson, who was a 2 term Governor of New Mexico, claimed that in his campaign ads, he never mentioned his opponents by name. He said it is best to explain why you are best for the job rather then talking about how shitty the other person is. That is not how politics is played these days.
I saw that. He seems like a cool guy but all of his speech invariably ends with pot this and pot that... that is what turns me off libertarian candidates.
Whether you smoke pot or not, it IS stupid for it to be illegal, at least while alcohol is legal. Hemp has SO many good uses.

I am talking about the INCESSANT talk about it when there are so many MUCH more important items in question... urgent in many cases that in may opinion should matter more than people wanting to get high AND/OR make legitimate medicinal or practical uses of marijuana/hemp.
Once a Libertarian candidate like him talk about fiscal issues, they can make a lot of sense, but then it ALWAYS comes down to marijuana and that is when they loose me. People were upset when Mr. Romney stated that he was tired of the marijuana talk and instead he wanted to talk about much more important matters. He was right. It is an annoying and non important topic. Even Obama, who was/is a smoker/user doesn't even want to talk about it on a day by day basis.
I am talking about the incessant talk of it at the expense of more important issues.
