  • Deport 'em all to the great country of TEXAS, that'll teach all those darn productive people for wanting to secede and keep their own money
    Why, they would undoubtedly get jobs, start businesses, and start being productive citizens of Texas.
    Yeah, that will certainly teach 'em a lesson.

    • What's scary is that Texas does'nt need the USA & could very well be better off without the USA. The reason the left should never want to see Texas leave is that Texas would explode economically & would be a better place to live then anyplace with multi-generational demacratic rule, like California, New York, Michigan, & Illinios.

      • And we could make it on the money we wouldn't be sending to WAshington, and we have oil, natural gas, wind farms, solar farms, coastal fishing, beef, tourism, arts and much more to produce income to the state. Periodically someone in Texas starts talking secession, but it is shocking the number of people now signing petitions, and states that are even considering secession. Truly a frightening scenario. And instead of looking to end the division, Obamarama simply claims to terminate citizenship? Really?

    • I've been cogitating on something to that effect but more along the lines of demanding, amongst other things, his immediate resignation, repudiation of everything he's signed and everybody he's appointed/hired on since he's been squatting in my Nation's Executive Office.

  • You do realize that by signing this petition to secede you'll be giving King O your name and address and phone number. Do you remember that scene in Braveheart where the Scotts bent over in front of King Edward "Longshanks" and gave him the front view of their back sides? Do you remewmber what happened to a bunch of them when the arrows started flying? That's what's gonna happen to the people that sign this petition...unless several millions of people sign it!

  • This from the bunch that's all in favor of giving illegals citizenship. Punish those that followed the Constitution and have started to petition for regress from an oppressive, envasive government. At least it's being done currently in a peaceful manner. Try taking my citizenship, then we have a bigger issue.

  • So, where exactly do they propose to send people? That's the problem with lib ideas. They don't think things through. They can't send people to the country from whence they came, if they were born in the US. What if a native american signed one? Maybe they could just pick a few states - maybe Texas- and exile us there? (Which, of course, would be the same as succession, right?)

          • Well the Panama Canal had its roots even why back when it was a colony of Spain. The idea was to create a channel to unite both oceans and considering their power it made sense that the Spanish would want that. However, there were never enough money and the technology was truly not there. Then the French came along in the form of Count de Lesseps (and others), who was/were behind the Suez Channel. He/They can truly be credited with the initial planning and technology for the Channel. However unfortunately, he/they ran out of money mainly because he/they had NO IDEA that Panama was a tropical country and a great deal of his workforce died (there is a French cementary in the Zone area where many of them were buried) due to tropical diseases. It is said that they bought snow plows and winter gear and were not prepared for the real weather and did not envision the perils nor that they could be affected by diseases due to the lack of hygiene and mosquitoes and so on. The US came along to essentially finish the job, add their own tech into the mix and took precedence over it, then Carter of course turned over the Canal over to the Panamenian government in the 70's with the Torrijos-Carter Treaty. Teddy Roosevelt cannot truly get much credit for something that was started and even conceived before he even was born. However, he does get credit perhaps for being part of the equation that made the Canal possible.

            Sorry I just really like the Canal history mainly because I had no option as that was part of education. Count de Lesseps really doesn't get the credit he deserves for his efforts that could have very easily bankrupt him. Also yes that is the de Lesseps whose eventual progeny married (and divorced?) that lady of New York housewives show.

          • Wasn't Carter merely following an agreement to return the canal and the American zone back to Panama that was established at the time of its building? Kinda like the Brits rented Hong Kong for 99 years, then it reverted back to China?

          • No. That is not what I understand. I could be wrong, for I don't know all the details of the Treaty, but the PC pretty much was under the control and management of the US. There was no actual rental per se that I know of. A treaty was needed to put it in the hands of the Panamenian goverment. If such an agreement existed I am sure that a Treaty wouldn't have been necessary they would just follow the already set agreement.

          • Appears the original treaty called for the US to have control of the Canal zome in perpetuity after a lump sum payment and annual additional payments. It was ratified by the US but not Columbia (Panama was created by a separatist movement backed by the US to declare independance from Columbia) ao never went into effect. This is probably what I remembered ina screwed up fashion!

          • If this was done before the independence from Columbia once Pma became independent and dictator after dictator came into control I wouldn't be surprised that people just forgot about it until they didn't. I guess if the Progressives hadn't done anything perhaps channel may still be under US control it would have been updated before it became Panamex. Who knows? Obviously it was way before my time but I didn't recall any actual rental timeframe (like in Hong Kong) being taught in school.

          • The treaty to terminate the PCZ control was a serious deal. There were votes that stopped it, I think more than once. 1978 he got one through and POOF! This was another charm for carter's bracelet as a left wing progressive puke sack. He loved killing programs and all the same stuff buroq likes. B1 bomber. Defense in general. He was controlled by the Trilateral Commission and the CFR. Slashing the country to pieces.
            The absolute only thing that piece of crap did that doesn't deserve beatings in perpetuity was open the law for home brewing, which had been stopped for that party they called Prohibition.

          • not at all. lbj piss be upon him initiated it. nixon tried and kissinger was the negotiator but jimmeh was president, and his ad campaign for it was to promote the gentle military, ie America as pansies, notion that we didn't need the canal zone for defense of our own nation and national interests.

          • A college professor said that pretty much on my first semester in college. I was going to correct him but in a class of literally hundreds of students I didnt dare. He had no idea what the heck he was talking about and he dismissevely (sp?) said that the Canal was obsolete. Not at the time it wasn't. The Zoners and members of the US government tried VERY HARD to retain the Channel and all territories around it or at least extend the time frame set in the Treaty, but any involvement failed. People who were born or raised there until their adulthood were and I am sure still are pissed, they actually felt displaced. That is one of the many reasons I know that Jimmah Catha was a bad Prez because so many people growing up will pretty much say the most horrible things about him due to this issue in addition to the mess he was doing in the US itself.

  • Why would anyone take this seriously? These idiots are the 1st to proclaim that they are "citizens of the world". Now they are proud of their American citizenship? Eff that & eff them.
