What if they held a cap-and-trade auction and nobody showed up? The brilliant budgeteers in California were planning on $500 million dollars from the auction to reduce their deficit, but the auction brought them a grand total of $55.8 million… 89% less than they predicted. Oops.

Well, now we know who was spending OPM. The guys with their own scratch on the line said "no, thanks."
My BIL is trying to get a transfer out of Cali. He works for Anheuser-Busch.
BIL?

Ah, that makes way more sense than Best Intersex Lawyer.
Best Intersex Lawyer?
Man, it has got to be VERY ...um.... INTERESTING inside your head.
Judging by that last comment, I wouldn't go in there without a full body latex suit!
Thank you dear, MUWAH!
So, how was it? You must have been tired, we didn't see you last night. Did everyone enjoy themselves?
It was wonderful...and yes we are all worn out but the dogs don't seem to get that, LOL.
Your only choice is to leave if you are not a living dead democrat. The democrat lemming voters will all keep running in the same direction, toward the financial cliff, no matter how bad it gets.
Nothing Kalifornia liberals do works....but do they get it? Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.....
Expect more creative accounting in the very near future from the commiecrats in California. Next their will be some moonbat, leftwing, turd calling for a fence to keep the taxpayers in.
The bear in the background uses more of his brain that the dufus in the foreground.
If Gov Moonbeam moron wouldn't have given Holly-weird $550 million earlier this year, he would have met his goal without having to have anyone show up. Hell he would have been up $50 million! I really got to move out of this state. Anyone want to buy my house?
The government of California is becoming an economic millstone around the neck of its citizens. Get out as soon as you can, the collapse is going to be nasty.
Aaaaaand . . . a few million more jobs relocate to Mexico or China.
I'm guessing that's why nobody is buying California carbon offsets - they're moving out of the state instead. Liberals never seem to figure this shit out: Reno, Nevada, is full of warehouses because years ago California passed a draconian inventory tax that made it sensible for all the big companies to warehouse their stuff just across the border to avoid trhe tax and then truck it into California as it's needed. It's cost California thousands of jobs, but when I lived in Reno it was real handy because anything you buy online shows up on your doorstep the next day.
Another unconstitutional tax that Ron Paul could have fixed.
This is a state tax. If Ron Paul were King of the World, he couldn't have affected this one way or the other. Go back to sleep.

It's an obnoxious tax, but I think state taxes like this are outside the realm of the federal government's power.
Opranerd, don't try to engage it in intelligent conversation. It's not capable of it. Now, if you want to talk about the relative worth of baked Cheetos vs. crunchy Cheetos, he's there for that.

"What if they held a cap-and-trade auction and nobody showed up?"
I'd bid on that.
