What if they held an Earth Day and nobody showed up

What if they held an Earth Day and nobody showed up? In Washington, D.C., they were expecting tens of thousands of people, but Momma Gaia spoiled her own party. Because of the dreary wet weather there were about 40 people waiting to hear Jesse Jackson give his Earth Day speech. And two of those 40 were playing catch with a Frisbee.

  • Hmmmm....if they could turn Earth Day into a Capitalism Holiday - get the florists...taxidermists...Hallmark Cards involved - THEN put everyone on a guilt trip for not spending like a minimum of $75.00 for that "Special Someone..." Oh never mind...I said "Capitalism" - forget it. ;-).

  • Sad to hear that Cheap Trick are ecomentalists. Guess I'll have to take my old albums up to the shooting range next time.

  • It's difficult to believe 40 people actually stood in the rain to listen to Jesse Jackson babble incoherently...maybe they were waiting for Cheap Trick

  • Haha! It wasn't just the rain, ya ijjits. Nobody cares about your bullshhtt psuedo-holiday any more.
