• Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Teach him to fish and he eats for a lifetime. There is a reason that old saw keeps coming back around. I watched an ABC show on the Lakota Sioux last night-they were saying the same thing. The goverment handouts have destroyed the Sioux nation, while tying their hands to actually developing businesses and jobs for themselves. They claim they are more regulated than a nuclear plant. Why won't anyone open their eyes and SEE what is happening?

• This video needs to be looped through out Time Square so that the smelly ows can see what others are doing to improve their way of life.

• This is why I support FINCA small loans to women entrepreneurs. If a person wants to work and is responsible I don't mind a leg up and they can pay it back so OTHERS can also benefit from the leg up, BUT given them money for free ESPECIALLY if they are not mentally nor physically prepared to do for themselves is a bad idea.

• I am reading Marvin Olasky's "The Tragedy of American Compassion". The first few chapters are a review of early American efforts to deal with poverty. In the 1630's, we had a very similar perspective as the good folks in this video: giving aid to people who could work develops dependency in them. Teaching them to work and developing discipline in young folk and allowing them to OWN PROPERTY worked - most people dealt with thusly grew into productive members of their town rather than remaining self-absorbed grubbers.

• Can we get one of those kids to replace the kid we have in the white house..It appears from the article these kids in Africa are smarter than the one we got. How about we give them Obungles and some cash...that should do it.

  • Hey! They could have a game show! "Are you smarter than an African grade school kid?" Obama would look like Wolf Blitzer on Jeopardy.

    • They don't want Obamarama either. They have enough problems.
