Ten years or so I worked on a California political campaign to eliminate racial preferences for college admission. We learned at the time that no one ever checked the accuracy of any student's claim to be a racial minority. We never doubted it because it was all part of liberal lunacy that rules California, but the Elizabeth Warren case seems to prove that it was true.

Why would they want to verify? The colleges undoubtedly get more federal money or at least more state money when they can show a higher degree of diversity. Finding fraud would run counter to the effort.
So wouldnt the answer be to stop giving colleges extra funding for minority applicants? Cut the head off the snake, so to speak.
Just trying to get to the bottom of why and how this whole minority status=get into college thing got off the ground. As always, I assume follow the money, and cut the funds, to see change. Well, real change anyways.
Originally, it was because minorities were assumed to be poor, regardless of their actual financial standing. Therefore, the "poor" were being given a chance to go to college when their parents couldn't afford it. It was, like all liberal ideas, good intentioned, but handled wrong. The government started giving colleges money to help pay for the tuition of the "poor", then offered financial bonuses depending on the ratio of "poor" in the school.
Now, it's just a cash cow for the colleges.

This shit is getting out of hand. There was a news story recently where EBT cards are being used to buy all kinds of non food items that they aren't authorized for, but the stores are ringing them up as eligible items and selling them for more than legit stores are charging..

Warren went barefoot one day and thought she was a member of the Blackfoot tribe for a while. Then somebody asked her on a date and she thought she might belong to the Fox tribe, but when she wouldn't Sauk the guy dumped her. She doesn't surrender her Beaver easily.
