The new breed of Reps are smart but not con-man smart which is what you need to win against the current crop of Dems. They're too easily played by conniving pros like Obama and Schumer.
Politicians are so damn stupid, they think we believe what they say when nothing could be farther from the truth.
Illegals will have to pay a fine and back taxes? Illegals will not be able to get food stamps or welfare? What a bunch of shit, nobody with any sense believes what Rubio and the gang of 8 numbnuts is saying.
Immigration "reform" is simple, close our borders then figure out what to do with the illegals already here. If you want to replace the faucet on your kitchen sink what is the first thing you do? You shut off the water, stop the flow. The answer to our immigration problems works the same way, stop the flow first, then replace the faucet.
Politicians don't give a shit about illegal immigration or this would be the point they would be making. Secure the borders, then worry about those already here. Even the dumbest, do-it-yourself home owner learns after he has made a watery mess in the kitchen.
Marco Rubio, you have become one major let-down, I'm sorry to say.
When he was the speaker of the Florida House he blocked any attempts to reform immigration in any meaningful way by not allowing any relevant bills come to the floor. He is not for real and he does not have the best interests of the country in mind.

The best immigration policy is deportation and DNA sampling of all departing illegals. Then when they show up and want a free hand out they are told hell no and you go to the back of the line.
Correlation is not causation, but it's interesting that Rubio had that little altercation with the Mexico in the US station Univision, after which he suddenly became Mr. Amnesty. One wonders what they have on him.
