White House touts Healthcare.gov success story that wasn’t. This is how desperate they are to find an example of the website working. A New Yorker reporter tweeted that he set up an account “no problem.” The White House immediately ran with it, with even Jay Carney retweeting the fantastic news. 39 minutes later the same reporter tweeted, “Got all the way to the end… and then it hung up trying to submit app.” Just like every other app, in other words.

The really sad and scary part of this story? The WH is quoting a twitter account in an official capacity. Not verifying accuracy by making a simple phone call. Come on now, surely they can unlock an intern from barrack's ass long enough to make a phone call to verify some information before releasing it as fact.
