Who’d a thunk? Federal government’s free cell phone program cuts into prepaid cell phone industry sales. As highly-trained economists, we feel confident in telling you that everyone will stop buying cows when the government starts giving away milk and Bosco. Please send that Nobel Prize for Economics to us here at IHTM intergalactic headquarters.

Why buy a phone if you can get one free? What did they THINK would happen. Oh, never mind, I forgot. THey NEVER think!
I think the whole point of the article was missed here. They are talking about pre-paid cell phones, not your Sprint or ATT customers with a contract. Worth noting that those pre-paid phones are a favorite among drug dealers and other types wishing to remain off the radar.
They also work great as remote control detonators for home made bombs. But don't tell the Muzzies I said that.
Well, what do you know?
Obama is supplying terrorists with detonators for their bombs.
Why am I not surprised? ;-)
The sad part is:If you did get the Nobel prize for economics,
you would be on par with Paul Krugman!
And I know your smarter than that.
Eliminating competition is one characteristic of a collectivist government. Watch Ford meet the same fate.
Give them freebies and they will vote for anybody, or hook them on the milk and they will buy the cow.
In this case, I'm thinking that if you hook them on the milk, then try to take it away, they'll kill the cow in the process of trying to steal it. Think Greece.
