They hired Lisa Jackson to get rid of the harassment of the Congress. They beat up Apple big wigs in at a Congressional hearing a while back, So to shut them, uhm, the Obama regime.
They were punished by the corruptocrats in Dee Cleaze for not kicking in enough in bribe....er a campaign contributions. So they had to hire some one who knows who the correct people are to bribe....(damn I keep doing that).. I mean contribute to.
You dont see Microsoft/Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, George Soros, or any of the Hollywood crowd being bothered by the IRS thugs. Gee, only the dimwits are confused by that simple deduction.

Simple. Apple has never had, nor needed, a Washingtoon insider to keep their business going but things have changed. The company now has to have a "lobbyist" goon close to the White House to keep the gooberment out of their pockets. Paying over $16 million per day in federal taxes isn't enough, they also have to pay an insider so they can continue to play. The easiest way to play the "pay to play" game is to hire an Obummer crony to funnel money to the right pockets.
