Why I’ll never trust PPP’s polls. When push-poll becomes shove-poll: “Do you believe conservative media want white people to think Barack Obama hates them?” And by the way, do you still beat your wife? Polling!

Damn MSH, just clicked through & remember reading that then after seeing it again, never connected the two. Huh, I use IHTM as a wind down a lot, know the on-line personalities here better, been tempted to cross-post at other related sites (guess I'm a lurker there) but always held back without knowing the history and looking like an ass. (don't know the flow or commentators @ that site drb always helps me w/ for example)
Considering your history, I do have one Q (meaning a fly-over country perspective of something I read recently from your neck of the woods, totally unrelated), it's about a one line quote I just read from out "there" that just made me sit straight up.
I'd love to follow you for a week and just "carry your stuff, run errands and take notes, and listen of course."

Just one example of why when a pollster calls (and there have been a boat load this year) I answer in German and call them dirty names and hang up. In Kalifornia most of the polls are tilted to the left so when you answer as a conservative they always want to ask "clarifying questions"...When they do that I hang up.....The last one that called Friday night got pissed because when He asked me who I was voting for for president, I said I would only tell him if he told me first, I told him I was polling pollsters so I could release a survey on pollster bias...he hung up on me....:)
Kudos to you! I am not fluent in any other languages so I once considered answering the phone with a made-up language when one of these clowns called: "Fluckima ditzo bishme, quod?" (or words to that effect.) But when I tried a practice run, saying it out loud, I broke up laughing. Maybe with more practice...
I would love to answer the phone in Klingon, just to get a reaction.
I guess it would help if I knew Klingon.
