Funny how a nasty political vendetta can be run by a Democrat and the MSM looks the other way, yet let one traffic jam happen to a Republican administration like Christie’s and all hell breaks loose. Thank God there’s a few sane judges on the bench.

Hey, supply and demand, supply and demand. This movie appeals to a very wide movie. The young men like it for the action, the young girls think the one guy who makes it is romantic, and parents & grandparents of soldiers from every war and "action" for the last half century want to get an idea of what their loved ones endured. The few occations that Hollywood has come up with movies with similar draw, they made a fortune. Live and learn.
I tried to look up this judge, turns out he's retired, but is an Eau Claire County reserve judge. I guess they bring in unaffiliated retirees for decisions, so there is no scent of impropriety when it comes to political cases.
That's a sad indictment on finding active impartial judges.
Actually, I'm thinking that it was the governor that did this so the Democrat prosecutor won't be on TV screaming how he had a Walker appointee making the decision. That is only allowed when it's a Democrat, see DOJ investigator on the IRS scandal.
Probably right. The Dems are remarkable in their systemic lack of ethics. The GOP sucks too but usually only when they act like Democrats. See John McCain and Paul Ryan as two recent examples.

I saw that. Absolutely right. Nothing would please me more in 2014 than to see the TEA Party and other conservatives rise up and sweep away the Republican wing of the Democratic Party.
Another example of how democrats will use absolutely everything, legal or not, to get and maintain their agenda. Why they very often win. Great to see Walker fighting back and the judge calling BS for what it is. In comparison, most in the current GOP-RINO party will do almost nothing to get or maintain their purported agenda. Sounds like someone has a case of Sore Loser Syndrome. Mr. Chisholm will soon appear on websites with the words "Epic Fail" printed on his forehead.
Also sounds like someone needs to be censured at very least. Mr. Chisholm needs to be taught that the power of the D.A. should not be used to harass and serve petty vendettas or to silence political opposition through intimidation.

Indeed- thankfully there's at least one sane judge... though cynical me wonders if the ruling was seen as necessary when word of the vendetta got out despite the efforts of MSM to bury it.
I missed something the first time I perused the article:
"Walker’s public employee reforms have eviscerated the power of unions in the state and Democrats are looking for any way they can to even the playing field"
So Rick Moran who wrote the piece for PJM reporting on the judge's decision would have us assume that by interfering with the undue influence that unions, particularly public sector unions, have on campaigns- principally by diverting union dues to Democratic coffers... regardless of the political leanings of the individual members paying those dues is somehow creating a tilted playing field. I do not buy that the ability to co-opt the monies of people who may not support a party or candidate being funded constitutes parity.
The Citizens United decision is somewhat of a counterweight to the union financial influence.
Somewhat, yes- but removing limits on individual donors can be a benefit for both parties. Unions have shown themselves to be overwhelmingly left wing shills. Dues paying members who favor conservative candidates have no say about their money finding its way into progressive pockets. Harassing those with the guts to stand up to the purveyors of disparity essentially suggests that only one side has the right to pervert the presumed spirit of campaign finance laws.
The very existence of the subpoenas reeks of the culture of power abuse and attitude of privilege that is the left. It is brazen and should be a huge red flag concerning the nature of the progressives. It underscores not only the criminal nature of them but also that of the silently complicit media.
It is an abusive, bullying, ruling class taking vendettas out on political allies. The subpoenas should not only be struck down but those who sent them should be thoroughly investigated and likely charged. It amounts to abuse of power- an attempt at malicious prosecution.
