I still don't understand the Apple mania to tell you the truth.
If you want to spend your days tapping out twit messages or updating facebook with your latest bowel movement while driving or in the checkout lane of the Piggly Wiggly, they're great. I have an iPhone 4 that was a gift from my wife. It gets used as a phone and a camera, period. I had an issue with a software update and contacted Apple's customer service. That experience made me think that I might need anger management training and I will NEVER own another Apple or Mac product again.
That is exactly what I am talking about. I HAD to use a Mac for work many years ago and I HATED it. People were saying how wonderful it is and every five minutes it had a problem. Trying to get help to make it work was a job in of itself. A lot of companies these days actually try their best to get away from Apple products. Overpriced and overmarketed products as far as I am concerned.
Well, crApple and Krappy Kreme are perfect examples of genius marketing and a gullible consumer base. If you polish a turd and convince people with more money than brains that it's a chocolate bar, you can sell just about anything for any price.
I like their iOS devices a lot. They were innovative and way ahead of the times. I think android (at least for the mobiles) has closed the gap and surpassed them in a lot of ways. For those that like to tinker and customize android is definitely the way to go. For those looking for that just want a simple, elegant and highly intuitive user experience I think apple still has the edge.
I have been far less impressed with the mac's. IMHO they are overpriced and underwhelming. Others, obviously, feel differently.
