• Woke military policies and the fact that no one wants to serve under this lunatic administration. I know someone that went into the army two years ago & there were 435 recruits that bused in with him. About a month into basic training he was injured and they drummed him out. Through luck, pluck and perseverance, he made his way back in earlier this year and bused in with only 95 recruits. This second time around for him was a totally different story and it wasn't pretty. There was alot of sitting around in circle jerks singing kumbya and listening to b.s. about being in touch with your feelings and if that wasn't bad enough, he acturally had to do finger painting - I shit you not. All branches of the military are no where near their recruiting targets with the army alone down by 20,000 recruits in the first half of this year. As a result, they've lowered the standards to join the military and relaxed many of the rules/regulations. It's a damn mess.

  • I’m seriously worried that China will invade Taiwan, and hubby and I will get pulled out of retirement and recalled into the Navy. I don’t want to be in this military.

    • The person I mentioned above has a younger brother that's very concerned about one of his best friends on a sub in that area of the world right now. My hope is that the chi-coms continue their economic collapse and nothing ever happens invasion-wise.

      • Hopefully they are building all those new warships with their own Chinese steel, which has proven to be full of flaws and subject to collapse the first time it's under stress. Just about every single thing that comes out of China is flawed, cheap, and subject to break down, so I can't see how they can possibly build an aircraft carrier that doesn't sink the first time it runs into bad weather. Didn't they recently have one of their big new skyscrapers collapse? This is similar to the way we used to worry about the Russians, till information gradually began to filter out that most of their military equipment was crap and most of their nuclear missiles were incapable of getting off the ground. The one thing no naval man in the world ever wanted to be in, was a Russian submarine. How many of the damn things sank over the years? I suspect it's the same story with Chinese submarines. Any time Communist Party insiders are the contractors providing the steel for your submarine fleet...
