Woman admits faking mental illness to avoid jury duty; now charged with perjury. Based on the OJ Simpson trial, the Casey Anthony trial (and others) we figured being mentally ill was a requirement to get ON a jury not excused.

  • I had jury duty for a week once, and I loved it. I had the time of my life. I could barely breath because the damned courtroom was so moldy or dusty or something, but other than that it was great. I can't wait to have the opportunity to do it again.

    • I did jury duty as well, & I enjoyed it as well. But I must say it depends what sort of case you get if you are picked to sit on a case. I did a double bank robbery case, which was pretty easy. But I know someone who did a shaken baby case. It's all experts & very technical information, on top of a tragic ending. So that would suck. I also worked for a guy who sat on a jury for 9 months on a major high profile tobacco case, & that got real tedious. So again, while it is fun as a change of pace, it does depend on what type of case you get.

  • Faking a mental illness only precludes you from registering as a democrat; you have to be really mentally ill to join. Or a non citizen

  • "Cole then recounted her hoax during an October 17, 2011 interview with the Dave Logan Show. "

Gee, if you want to keep a secret, maybe it's best NOT to brag about it on a radio talk show. Duh.
