Dear Editor: I am assuming you are the guy that went to the U of Oregon in Eugene. I would simply like to say that U of O's student union beer garden had the most kegs, the hottest babes, and was the most fun of any student hangout (in what was then the Pac-8) I had the pleasure of visiting during rugby season. I hope it's still there.

He has had more money than Bill Gates for a while now it is my understanding or else he has been number two or nipping at his heels for a considerable time. This is not news either, what is news is that he is in essence the world richest due in GREAT PART because of (US) government (ie US taxpayer) assistance. That is a problem for me. They should be occupying this guy for accepting goverment money and lining his pockets with it. Maybe they would, if the President now would be Bush or whatever. In any case, this guy is just wrong for that and the hypocrisy is astonishing.
What "Waahhh, Wahhhh, I'm a victim" dipshit boy here dosen't realize is the reason Carlos got so rich is due to Government contracts. It was also due to another concept that this miserable excuse for an idiot dosen't understand, it's called hard work.

You forgot to include that Safelink is a subsidiary of Tracfone which is a pay as you go service not government subsidized. So not all of the profit is from government funds. You also said that Safelink is AMONG his assets, meaning that he probably has other investments, of which probably give him the bulk of his fortune.

John, do you use any products made by evil corporations? Do you have a cell phone? Do you wear store-bought clothing, or glasses, or use commercially-available toiletries? Where do you buy your food? By your comment, I assume you take part in the Occupy movement. Where did you get your tent/sleeping bag/camping supplies? How about the materials you used to make your signs? How about your computer, or whatever device you're using to post to IHTM?
Unless everything you use, own, or consume was made by your own hands or bought from a small mom & pop store (who in turn do buy things from evil corporations), then...I'm sorry, I got lost looking for the leg you do not have to stand on.

John, you are the biggest fucking moron to grace our website in a long time. Corporations are neither good nor evil. It's people who are good or evil. There are good people and bad people in every business, every government, every charity, in every corner of the world.
As someone who's been a major stockholder in two corporations, I know we strived for the maximum profit possible while paying people a more than fair wage, contributing more to their 401Ks than we were required to contribute, teaching them, coaching them, and seeing some of them go on to achieve great success on their own. It's been many years since I left my last company and I still get letters every once in a while from former employees who are nice enough to take time out of their busy lives to thank the guy who gave them a chance when no one else would.
Maybe this particular inane comment of yours annoyed me so much because I got a phone call this afternoon from a former employee I haven't seen in almost 20 years. She said she ran into another former employee on the street in San Francisco and they got to talking about their former co-workers and their bosses. Neither of them knew what had become of me after I left the last company I founded, so she Googled me and then decided to give me a call. I, in turn, Googled her and was happy to she that she now runs her own very successful company.
I can't say that every job I had in my career was a gem. Some of them were awful. But instead of bitching and moaning about how unfair life is and how evil corporations are, I simply used the good bosses as role models on how to be a boss and used the bad bosses as examples of what not to be.
You are a loser who lives in your parents' basement, but it doesn't always have to be that way, John. Change your attitude and you'll change your life, you miserable little prick.
