  • A couple of things...

    1. The folks in the MSM don't care about TX, & generally hate it outside of Austin.

    2. Those folks hate seeing the images of things like you see in this video. Texans busting their asses to help each other. They would love to see them on the rooftops waiting to be saved. Which goes to a difference in the cultural mentality of Texas vs Louisiana (particularly in NOLA). The people you see here generally speaking, do not need Washington DC, & they are showing that all the time. The fact that those in The Beltway, & the Acela Corridor are not needed pisses them off. This is Red State America at it's finest.

    3. J.J. Watt, $18million raised. A white guy in the NFL, which is now evil in the eyes of many, mainly on the left, is another thumb in the eye. ESPN will reluctantly have to give him an ESPY for his leadership in this crisis.

...I also have a feeling Trump's stock in Texas went up with many living there. I will ask around in April when I visit Dallas for the 1st time.

  • I used to go to the local flooded intersection during rainstorms when I lived in Anaheim, CA. (2' of water takes out city people's cars) I was having a great time pulling people out of harm's way with my Toyota 4x4, until lightning struck a nearby transformer, then I was outta there!

    • "Nothing like a 6″ lift kit to get you anywhere you wish to go."

Worst. Pick-up line. Ever. Trust me on that.

    • Never underestimate the power of Bubba.

Half the boys in my kid's high school have big ass bubba trucks that sit 3 feet off the ground. Big diesels and lift kits. I always wonder who is buying their diesel; it seems they are all incapable of driving them without going full throttle.

  • Funny, my mother just send me an email with the exact same video.
As I told her, these are the people FEMA told their help was not wanted nor needed.

  • Nicely done.

I bought my '07 Colorado last year and bailed more than one person out that was stuck in the snow around here last winter, including our mailman. The 4W drive on that thing is unstoppable and the tires I bought for it stick to anything. They're not that size but the truck is lifted, providing enough clearance that it could probably pull the job off in 4W drive low.

  • Cool video. I did something similar with a 1970 Toranado to which I had welded a category 5 hitch for a trailer I owned. With that giant engine over those big front drive wheels I went around pulling 4-wheel-drive pickups out of snowbanks one winter during a big blizzard. I swear to God, that car could not be stopped by snow. I could drive through snow that was so deep it was above the front grille.
