Just saw on fox news that the state has removed all of her benifits.
Finally the state does something...
I can see why those here who dont live in Michigan are outraged by this. But this is just another day for us here. Wasnt it last year another man won the lotto from MI and also was collecting welfare?
And there are those of us that do live here that are outraged. It's just difficult to get legislation passed to curb this type of abuse, but yet not open the door for the government to use the law against those that are law abiding and don't abuse the system.
It's time to charge her with wlefare fraud and seize both houses as repayment. Thank you "Great Society" and "War on Poverty" So many people get on the govt tit and refuse to do any thing for themselves ever again.
I saw it on the Five and then on Yahoo and I just couldn't believe it. She sees NOTHING wrong with this whatsoever. Nothing wrong because as far as she knows the government knows better and if they didnt cut her off then she is still entitled. However did she TELL the government to cut her off because she won? Nope. Disgusting.
It's obvious from the video clip that this woman is mentally challanged. After she blows her windfull she'll be eligible for assistance under the Disability Act.

She did pay taxes on the lottery money. Since she took a lump sum, it was around 50%.
