First and foremost I AM AN AMERICAN. I was born in the south, I am proud of my southern heritage and you know what. I had family who fought in the Confederacy as well for the Union. Those who fought for the South were not slave owners, far from it. They were farmers, a blacksmith and a 12 year old boy. Yes the Civil War was a dark period for this nation. Everyone who died in it was an American. It wasn't until the dip shit democrats passed Jim Crow, separate but equal laws and attempted to deny those who were black in the South the right to vote that the Battle Flag of the Confederacy became associated with racism. Read what Lyndon Johnson wrote and was directly quoted as saying after he signed "The Great Society" then tell me who was the racist.
Im sick of those who are always calming racism and bigotry for every last damn thing that goes wrong in their lives. Guess what there race hustlers life is not fair. Just ask my Irish ancestors. Ask my German ancestors. My paternal grandmother rarely spoke in public as her German accent was still very thick and would be attacked for it. The Stars and Bars were used for communication during the civil war battles. It wasn't until the likes of the KKK, segregationist, and others began using it as their symbol. Did the Stars and Bars become associated with hatred and bigotry. Guess what. They were all dip shits. It was the republicans who rose up against the bigotry and racism of the 50s and 60s.
