A vote for Ron Paul is a vote for the status quo because it's a vote taken away from Romney. The primaries are where you fight, the general is where you sometimes just have to settle.
It's more like the primaries is where you cheat, the general is where someone else just plain votes in your place through the corrupt electoral system.
Romney didn't cheat during the primaries, John, he muscled through a rule before the convention which made 8% of the delegates and not 5% the minimum for being allowed to speak. Paul had the second most money after Romney. If he really wanted the nomination, why didn't he attack Romney in his ads? Instead, he attacked Gingrich and Santorum. With much less money, Gingrich and Santorum were overwhelmed by the combination of Romney and Paul attack ads.
Great point. In fact, I remember reading speculative articles that Paul was going to go easy on Romney during the primaries so that Rand might have a shot at VP or a cabinet job. They're all politicians in the end, john. Sorry if your tiny little world crashes around you over this. Not really.
