Well, their jurisdiction ends at the city limits unless they're gonna pass a resolution to empower themselves to go to Florida and arrest Rush Limbaugh. Seriously, I really miss the good old days when these fucking idiots just took bribes and played golf.
The thought police are at it again. What is next, the heart police? What a bunch of busy body do gooders who most likely dont practice what they are preaching.
This may be just a resolution with no legal way to enforce it. But the goal here is to provoke talk show hosts to defy it on First Amendment grounds, so they can stir and agitate the community, for the purpose of one day making a case to make a law.
We lose freedom in baby steps. No one will come in and strip it all at once. But if they do it a little here and a little there, the people will not notice it as much....and will not know it's being done until it is gone.
I think radio show hosts should exercise good judgment and not intentionally provoke, in an unjust manner. But when we see either side trying to silence anyone's opinion (offensive or not), we are setting the tone and laying the groundwork for dictatorship.
As if their wasn't enough reasons for people to leave the leftist shithole formerly known as the Golden State, they just had to add another one. Here's a novel idea for these hypocritical control freaks, if the truth hurts, do something about fixing the problem, rather then shooting the messenger.
The First Amendment has been taking a bit of a beating lately so the clowns in the Los Angeles City Council and their leftist allies see an opportunity to get in a few cheap shots of their own.
This is only a resolution and cannot be enforced by the City Council or anyone else. But, without doubt, it's part of the Democrats' organized war against conservative talk radio.
The Left is the biggest enemy of the First Amendment in the United States; political correctness is a Marxist invention designed to stiffle speech they disagree with. The City Council and their supporters are shamelss hypocrites.
