• Kalifornia's mentally retarded legislature passed a bill that removes the tax exempt status from the boy scouts since they still don't allow "gay" scout leaders. What a bunch of F*cking morons. They are so driven to have child molesters handle a bunch of kids they are beside themselves in hurrying up to pass this drivel. They now try to legislate sexual perverts into protected status.

  Plus they also passed a bunch of F*cking moronic gun bills, 50 dollars and a permit to buy ammo, banning all rifles with detachable magazines and if you have one you have to register it with the state (Not in my lifetime) and a bunch of other bullshit. See what happens with a liberal majority, all they can think about is a penis and guns, jobs, bad roads, crime, the economy, none of that is as important as what your penis can do and what guns you can't own. Perhaps it's time to produce a penis shaped machine gun, How are they gonna ban that?

  • I think you're over-stating the intelligence of the California legislature. Last week Saturday I explained the error of conflating tax exemption with disclosure, calling anyone who thinks tax exemption is the issue an ignoramus. Now California legislators are doing it.

    You can't take away an entity's tax exemption: it's meaningless. If you don't make a profit, which a non-profit doesn't by definition, then refusing them a specific tax "status" still does not produce a profit the government can tax. Duh. The Boy Scouts can go Clint Eastwood on them and say, "Go ahead, make my day. We don't have a profit to tax so what good does this do you?"

    This entire issue is about WHICH KIND of tax exempt status, not whether you get tax exempt status. In other words, do you have to disclose your donors or not? I wouldn't think the Boy Scouts would be that shy about sharing who their donors are.

• Why were leftists pushing the Boy Scouts to do this? It has almost NOTHING to do with gays wanting to participate in Scouting. They don't.

  What they know is that, if they could drive a wedge of hate within the Boy Scouts, they will have succeeded in tearing at the fabric of what used to be one of the greatest organizations for morality in the world.

  Liberals hate the Boy Scouts as mush as they hate the United States, the US Military, Christianity, and any other pillar of decency and democracy.

  This successful effort by them to cause former Scout leaders to turn against each other is a brilliant Salinsky-eske coup. If I did not hate them so much, I would congratulate them. But that would be like congratulating the guy who "beat" Allen West for his Congressional seat with 141% of registered voters participating in that election (true statement).

  Liberals are hateful, shameful, hideous, and a clear and present danger to a good and decent society. Their successful infiltration of the Boy Scouts to cause this event is evidence of their desire to destroy American society.

        • Seems like most of what you posted comes from one lawmaker (already distrustful in my opinion) who has a psychotic bee in his bonnet about Girl Scouts. While I understand that many women leaders held up as role models are those who have chosen to not have families, who are gay, or whatever. But they are role models not for their sexual preferences (which like the girls don't even know) but for their accomplshments in life. I weas in scouts, my 2 daughters were in scouts and I was THERE with them, so Iknwo the scouts were not advocating for gays, transgendered, etc. And my girs were in long enough to earn their silver awards, so they were old enough to have come across this had it been there. I still support the Girl Scouts and the Boy Scouts, and if more reasonable adults would volunteer to work with them, you wouldn't have to worry about what they were teaching.

        • Sooner or later, if your children stay in Scouts, they will attend overnight functions without you, no matter how close you stayed when they were younger. My father was at weekly troop meetings for years, but he didn't attend Boy Scout camps with me, he didn't hike for a week in the Porcupine Mountains, etc. He had a job. So eventually, with gay leaders skulking about and grooming their next victims, your children will be in a vulnerable position without you to protect them. Ten years ago, twenty years ago, you were probably safe. Now, I think it would be foolish indeed to start a child in Scouts. You can achieve all of the same goals with a church-led group that filters out the predator gays.

        • In my case, I was the assistant leader of one troop and the leader of the other, so yes, I DID go camping, etc with them on overnights. I even was REQUIRED to go with my son caping, which annoyed me because I was trying to get some "guy time" for him, as our family is short on males. But you are right, had he stayed in to the older levels, he would have gone without me, and I dDON"T want that time to be sexual exploration time for any of my children. Everyday I am thankful that my kids got out of school. scouts, etc before this got to be as horrendous a problem as it is. Plus they were well grounded in our religious faith, and in what our family believed as far as behaviour.

        • My Dad and I were recently talking about some of the older guys from when I joined Scouts. When I first joined one of the older guys came from a family of geniuses and he grew up to become a famous scholar, but his younger brother grew up to be a serial-killer-rapist-abuser of both genders. When I think about how my life might have been totally different had those two brothers been switched and had I shared a tent with the creep...

          A different older boy shared a tent with me at my first summer camp. He was older, I was just barely old enough to join Scouts, but HE was the one who ended up sobbing with homesickness. Weirdest week of my life. He spent the first night singing, "I'm 'enery the eighth I am!" at the top of his lungs. Nobody in the camp could sleep - certainly not me who was in the same tent.

    Yeah, I am actually pretty sure I would not let a son join scouting now. I am liberal about gay people in general, but I have serious issues with activist gays. And that's what we are talking about here. They may be young, but they have been coached by their radical lefty parents, teachers and friends to make a stand, and to shove it in the face of everyone they possibly can. And HOPE to get a negative reaction, so everyone can get into full-drama mode.

    I would be disappointed if scouts tossed out gay boys who were quiet about it, but here's the thing - I don't think it's appropriate for scouts to be discussing sex at all. They should be talking about campfires and helping little old ladies cross the street. Not about Janies big bazoombas. So, by default, if a scout is "openly gay" then he is talking about sex. That should be grounds for suspension from the scouts - hetero or homo.

    • Exactly my point and I am not liberal about gays. I am not. However I am a realist, they do exist and it is what it is, but the above is exactly what I feel about this entire situation. So the point is that no matter where you stand politically, if you are looking at this from a wise and appropriate point of view, you will see the problem here. There is no room for openly chatting about sex in these institutions be it hetero or homosexual (and the rest).

• For all of you wondering why gays didn't start their own organization the answer is simple. The Gay scouts of America would never, ever, have the funding, national organization, or the number of adult volunteers that the Boy Scouts now have. The only way they push their agenda was to take over the established organization.

  As usual the liberal fools have got what they wanted without understanding the consequences of their actions. As membership in the Boy Scouts drops, when the funding dries up, when the thousands of religious organizations quit sponsoring Scouting, The Boy Scouts of America will cease to exist.

  Then when the gays stand around with a stupid look on their faces, wondering what the hell happened, we can all laugh at them while saying "I love it when people get what they asked for."

  • What I think is that the end game is two fold. Penetrate it and see if it works. If it works great they get to have an established organization under their belt, if it doesn't work (and it won't) then it gets destroyed and good riddance as it shouldn't have existed without OPENLY gays anyway as it was discriminatory and whatever. So either way they win at least in their minds whereas everyone else loses.

• This will be the destruction of the BSA as it was founded. Under no circumstances will I ever say that there have not been gay scouts. But the radical gay community has taken down yet another pillar of what America has stood for. Honor, duty and trust worthiness.

  For those who voted for this, watch as your membership drops and your troops become non existent. Yesterday was a sad day in America and the saddest day for the Boy Scouts of America.

  • Listen. Very very likely there been hundreds or even thousands of gays or bisexuals or boys that later became ladies as members and/or leaders whatever...

    But the thing here is OPEN. That is the thing. Once we get into this OPEN business. OPEN within the institution business that is when we get a problem.

• I haven't seen confirmation, but what I read before the national council was that the Boy Scouts were under attack - gay activists were planning to pack the council with pro-gay votes. I don't know how you get a vote at the BSA national council but I suspect the only requirement is showing up. That's why an overwhelming amount of public opinion across the country is negative on this decision, but the vote was 60% for allowing gay members.

  • This is why people need to PAY ATTENTION and not be asleep at the wheel on matters and institutions that they care about. People who have been in the scouts and people who are in the scouts and people who believe in the scouts should have been made aware of this and gone and voted. How is it possible that gays being very much a minority overall got an overwhelming response like that? Even with sympathetic heteros. Not possible. It was those that didn't know or didn't go that made that possible. this is what happens in this country. This is the reason why Obama is President. Fools voting for fools that were not going to win anyway just because they want to stick it to the man and other fools not going because they dont like the choices.

    • They are all standing around waiting for the other guy to step up and fix the problem. No one wants personal involvement, as it would cut into their time. And Lord knows, with both parents working outside the home for up to 16 hours a day (including commute time) then rushing the children from one activity to another, they really DON'T have time. They barely have time to brush their teeth. The entire country needs to slow down, take a deep breath and really evaluate their lives, their needs (not wants) and goals and try to simplify in every way.

      • The pursuit of happiness sadly for many means pursuit of pleasure or money and comfort and completely takes over the most important things in life. People got too complacent and just imagined that things will be the same as they were when they were kids. It is not so.

    On my honor, I will TRY to do my best to do my duty to whichever deity my government tells me to believe in, swear allegiance to the president of this country, to help others who believe in whatever my government approves of, to be mentally awake when the propaganda machine tells me to, and to realize that being morally straight is a code word for gay-bashing.
