For God’s sake, man, will this senseless Kennedy worship never end?
ABC’s Chris Cuomo and Claire Shipman noted the tenth anniversary of the death John F. Kennedy, Jr. by dubbing him “the prince of Camelot.”
Shipman said his “very existence had somehow come to represent a critical link to our fairy tale past. And always, always the possibility of another chapter.”
“And a decade later,” Shipman whimpered, “it’s still the potential we remember, the what-might-have-been.”
The key phrase here is “fairy tale,” because the reality of John John’s life veers quickly into a display of no potential whatsoever.
It’s also been widely reported that “the prince” wasn’t the sharpest knife in the drawer. He failed the New York bar exam twice. He published George, a money-losing political magazine. He dated the horse-faced Sarah Jessica Parker and the whorish Madonna. And as a result of inexperience, arrogance or stupidity (take your choice), he flew his airplane into the ocean at night.
The fairy tale of unfulfilled Kennedy potential took another blow last year when John John’s sister Caroline (the princess of Camelot, we assume) made an embarrassing and quickly-aborted run for the Senate in New York.
Of course, the liberal media spoon feeds tasty fairy tale morsels to the masses and they eat it up.
If you’ll excuse us, we have an unfulfilled urge to vomit.

Are you sure you aren't trolling after The Skizzerd of Waz did such a good job of explaining why the Kennedys were hated? Clue: it isn't the Kennedys, but the Kennedy worship that turns the stomach.
Although I personally think JFK was a consummate bastard, he at least tried to defend his country. -- the current boob in the white house just wants to further his political career, and doesn't care if his country loses as a consequence. If it was a choice between JFK and the idiot Obama, I'd choose JFK any day. Then again, I'd choose the *REAL* Urkel (or a ham sandwich), too before I'd choose the idiot Obama.
Jr. was just a garden variety pampered nincompoop, and his ego got just large enough that he felt himself above the weather report. If he'd had a dose or two of abuse to take the mickey out of him, he'd probably be alive today, filling the shoes of people better than him.
Like Rudolph Valentino, he is a victim of his own hero worship.
(For the trivia addicted, Valentino died of a ruptured appendix when they couldn't find a famous enough doctor to work on him.)
He did'nt understand his limitations. He was not qualified to fly IFR(insterments only) & he killed himself & his wife Carolyn because of that. It is really that simple. He was not very experienced at that point, he thought he was a better pilot then he was, & he paid the price.
It is a shame that he took people with him.
That is the part that is sad. Especially if she was really pregnant and I don't know if that was ever proven that she was or wasn't. Her parents and family do not have her (and a potential grandchild) because of his incompetence and believing too much in himself.

Well, AFAICT, he improved the Kennedy 'liberal women drowning' process -- used to be they only drowned their liberal women one at a time.
For the rest of the country, that is generally considered a bad thing, but you know, the Kennedys get special consideration.
And I was so looking forward to Jon-Jon's first big scandal.
I got to admit compared to the other Kennedys he and his sister (except for last year in her case) were very unexceptional when it came to their lives. Other than the fact that he dated Madonna and Darryl Hannah and what not, there wasn't really anything exciting about him. Considering the male history of that family it would have been interesting to see if he kept it pretty on the straight path or if he strayed from his marriage (or whatever). Overall though I really was never that interested in him, perhaps because i was young but still I don't know the Kennedy's do nothing for me.

I heard - this is hearsay but I believe it - that he was a real dope. I hope the person that was passed-over so he could get a spot in the celeb loving Manhattan DA's office is happy knowing his or her career had to take a back seat to John John's - the family having him placed in the DA's office so he could say he was a selfless "public servant".

It's not the family so much as it's the slavish whoring masses of MSM types continually feeding the Camelot garbage down our throats that raises my bile. Every family has it's winners, losers, and in-betweens, the Kennedy clan are no different from anyone else in that respect. However the MSM would have us believe that every mothers son of that family are fookin' gods deigning to walk among mortals, and that's just total BS.
Yes, John-John was a dumba$$ who killed himself by thinking he was Pappy Boyington, and that was a shame. Not a tragedy mind you, but a shame. The tragedy in his death was how the MSM subjected us all to non-stop coverage of every little iota of the search and subsequent funeral of this Wrong Way Corrigan wannabe!
