Asking me to explain his parties ideals, because I apparently got it wrong. your right I've never once read the mission statement, but I dont often go into political boards I found this one quit by google accident... but in my limited experiance with them I have seen more than 1 guy start alluding to such things as it only a matter of time, as if it's some kinda altimatium you really wanna throw out there, b4 then some sort of breakin away from the failin government b4 it to late sorta thing. So yes I see that as a threat of annex, even if a veiled half-hearted one... so you may not wanna look now but there are extremists in ur party or they at least claim to be.
You raised many good questions and I will leave those here who are more qualified than I to answer them. I would like to say that I believe you to be a person, not just another troll that likes to pop up from time to time. (you may or may not have noticed that here) I would like to offer my two sense. If the politics of both sides are fustrating, which they are, then why not vote on moral grounds? Or your conscience? If your trying to teach your kids Jesus like kindness, then that should be a good place to start. Measure the beliefs of each party against the Bible's laws and you'll find a clearer answer. If you've done that already but are still disillusioned perhaps praying for guidance will help.

Ok, I think most of you have me confused, with someone else (I am not this "O" chic nor, am I advocating for lazy do nothing crybaby wastes of flesh). I admittedly got caught up in the useless name calling (what are we congress?) You'll be glad to know this will likely be my last post here (at the very least I am gonna turn off the annoying post notifications) I too am sick of spin doctor media (fox & cnbc both & etc.), but I still find no 1 party that has any 2 of my ideals. (maybe I should fund an interest group). If Donkeys say "bandaid", the Elephants say "just cut it off". I would like the think there maybe some common sense anwsers somewhere inbetween, hence "Moderately Pissed".
If you want someone to blame/ agrue with, just hide this post like my others now. This is who I am... I work for what I have it's not fancy, but I make sure my kids eat & I teach them compassion (not liberal kind, Jesus kind thank you) & self reliance (note I didn't say independance, libertarians seem to incourage annexing thier states, call me niave, I still believe they should be the United States). I take every opportunity for extra work I get. I don't cry about it if happen to show up late & dirty to my kids birthday, cause I got a call on a bid last minute. I don't resent the people I do work for, if they happen to own an expensive house. I do however get a bad taste in my mouth, if they are just as pathetic, petty & ungrateful as I know many of the people living off the state are. There is no excuse for anyone to feel "entitled" or not respect the virtue of hard work & sacrifice, be they wealthy or destitute. I am not as tough as my grandpa was, though I like to think resemble his will & determination much more closely, than most of my pathetic generation does (born in '74). I respect my mother, she waitressed doubles 6 days & cleaned houses on her "day off" & still managed to do for me, until I was old enough to cook, wash & mend my own clothes, and generally wipe my own rear so to speak. She was born in '57 & I put her grit against most anyone from her generation man or woman. She never recieved help from the state or my no account "I can't do it" wussy, convict, druggy father... So do yall think I have any respect for sorry azz cowards & do nothings? Do I feel cheated, hell no mom & my grandparents were better family than any other kid I knew had, there cared at least about me & who I was to become. I feel sorry for many of my kids friends today, being raised by parents who learned thier values via the damn t.v. To many of the ppl you guys are complaining about ARE selfish, to the point where "things" come b4 family & sacrifice/ honor are things to be laughed at, but this the problem of a whole generation from CEOs to the person scrubbin thier toilets. How dare you blame the poor "those people" so generally, isn't that conveniant. I only tried to say I (although briefly) was in the states food stamps program & it was no money parade, the system is set up to discourage you to pull yourself up "maybe try fixing that". The day I came home & found out my wife had gotten us food stamps I felt sick & ashamed (I would have rather taken a second job letting random ppl kick me in the teeth & kidneys), but my kids came b4 my pride, sorry. (At least we didn't get other welfare, my wife told me the Latino case worker told her "You people should'nt need help. Your lucky I approve you for anything." curiously right after asking her to tell him my race, as she had skipped a part of the form. Sure I'm the biggot for mentioning his race lol) I was young & trained to do work involving elevators lay-offs were bad that year (you dont get side jobs putting elevators in peoples homes lol) so I took every crappy job I could, until I got an opportunity, for a skill more easily marketable in hard times electrical work.

I have kids so I understand patience, but if they were a bitch... I had a rep for riden them til they bowed up or stop showing up either was fine by me lol. China too, really why? The entire middle east we buy oil from them why? Those countries have allways hated us, so why did they go from camel herders to having urainium? We all know how... sorry, but couldnt have we used our oil & maybe corn ethanal in the 70's, the government was aready subsidizing both farms & oil, but let the oil companies know back then we want your hard work in R&D on these damn windmills & hydrogen cars... something anything they would've had gee 25yrs to brainstorm... but just like the poor the wealthy can be shortsighted or greedy too. Wow, that sounds like it may not be good for the profit margins & besides when Kuwait or whoever has run dry, american oil will hold a monoply.. shit by 2030 we will beg them to drill in our back yard with TnT, just for a lil fix. Just sayin, I think they are laughing about us never fully drilling here & buying cheap from the arabs & not having them develop alternatives while thier was plenty of oil left... You don't have to be a genius to see it will soon payoff for them big. Sorry, but being a dues paying, card carrying Libertarian for about 20 years now, I wasn't aware of the Party's plan to "annex" states and dismantle the Union. Maybe you could tell me more about it. As far as I know, all I want is the government guaranteed by the Constitution. Nothing more, nothing less.
Half a century ago, I spent the first 13 years of my life with my parents in a walk-up apartment above a dilapidated candy store. The apartments didn't have toilets - the toilet was out in the hall, shared by both families living on the floor and whoever happened to wander in thru the unlocked main door. There were no tubs or showers either, so once a week the kitchen was closed off and a washtub filled so each of us could take a Saturday night bath in private. And we didn't own a car - neither mom nor dad drove but I doubt we could have afforded the upkeep anyway. But we did have food, clothes, heat and a TV set (still a minor luxury back then.) Did we consider ourselves "poor"? Hell no, "poor" was someone who lived in a cardboard box and couldn't afford food. Maybe in this day and age a selfless representative of the Resentment Party could've convinced mom and dad it was the fault of the Koch Brothers that we didn't have a bathroom and they could get one by voting for him, but back then they were too busy fulfilling the RESPONSIBILITY they had assumed to be bothered with political hacks.
Today, my wife and I are comfortable - we have proper plumbing and cars - but we certainly don't have anywhere NEAR as much as say Al Gore or John Kerry or Warren Buffet (at least we have the satisfaction that what we have, we obtained honestly and not by duping gullible people or getting our pals in congress to give us sweetheart deals.) For most, poverty is RELATIVE and it is largely an ATTITUDE. Most normal adults have made peace with the fact that they're never gonna be as rich as Georgie Soros and go on from there. But if you spent your time RESENTING this fact of life then your life is going to be filled with resentment because that is the kind of people you will attract (no one else will be able to stand the constant whining.)
I'm not saying that everybody can solve their own problems - obviously there are some who will be overwhelmed, either temporarily or permanently. There will always be folks whom society should help because they can't do it alone. But when you go to the beach, the lifeguards only rush to the aid of people drowning in deep water; they don't "rescue" the guy on the beach who's unhappy because the people next to him are laying on a better towel than he is. Politicians buy votes by convincing the guy with the bad towel that he's "drowning" but society can no longer afford this kind of silliness.
Hey Buck I'm with ya! Never had a TV when I was growing up - had a little radio my Mother listened to sometimes but there was too much else going on, chores swimming in the creek, running, that we never wasted too much time sittin' and listenen' to some box. We didn't have much at all, but I never felt "poor" 'cause what we did have we appreciated - my Daddy worked hard putting food on the table - and he never missed once - at least not to my recollection. He put me through college and never complained about it once. Everything we had my Daddy worked for and I don't recall him or my mother ever asking anybody for nothing they couldn't pay for with their own money. Sometimes, we had to do without but it never to seemed to bother any of us.
