• yeah, trips to russia, driving a mercedes, this welfare recipient acted TOTALLY ALONE!!!!

• If he acted alone, why are they holding onto him under the public safety clause??? What could he know that would be actionable intelligence, besides other plots or actors that he knows....

    • Not nit picking on this specific issue, just in general, ok?

      Just why did the 48 hour clock start when he was out of it? They could have read him his "rights" when they hauled him out of the boat and cuffed him before putting him in the ambulance, then there would have been a stink about him not understanding them because he was out of it. OK, shouldn't the 48 hour rule apply and start ticking at the same time? Make sense?

      • It was legal and political posturing.

        If he was to be tried in a military court, he would not be mirandized. To try him in a civilian court he MUST be mirandized. By not mirandizing him when he was carted off to the hospital, they were leaving the possibility open for him to be tried as a terrorist. Instead, the WH intervenes and decides that like the Ft Hood muzzy, this guy is not a terrorist - just a bad boy.

        By the way - I CALLED IT! I said the minute we heard it was a possible muslim (the first night) that he would be called "a lone wolf". Different guy, but same religion (of peace) and sure enough .... lone wolf. Just ignore any evidence to the contrary - they were working alone.

• I don't know why the rush to announce that they did not get any help internationally? It seems very insane. You know what I was thinking earlier today? As I read or see on TV what for a lack of a better word are apologists for radical muslims, that a radical muslim would be looking at that and say to his compatriots... "Is this for real?. Are these people really this stupid? They are making our job so easy! When we take over am gonna kill this fool!"

  • I think it is likely they are laughing their asses off at the stupidity of our Government leaders. 2 days ago, the nombers were part of a 12 man sleeper cell. Now they acted alone, but were motivated by religion. Of course, its not exactly the religion. It is the politicalization of the religion. First they were trained overseas, now they are reported as having used the internet to build their bombs, because they were so amateurish (got the job done, tho.) NO ONE knows diddlysqyat about all this, they are speculating and running just as they did when the bombing first occured. Hopefully somewhere in all the S*** there are some crumbs of truth.
