• Personally, I would LOVE to see Trumka put together his own political party. Unionized labor is a very small percentage of the country, but it would definitely pull enough votes away from the Democratic Party to hurt them badly.

  Please do, Mr. Trumka.

• It must be really bad of trumka is running for the hills and is no longer cozying up to barry. The membership of the AFL-CIO needs to replace the toad. So if Romney becomes PoUS will his justice department launch and investigation into the coziness of barry’s administration and organized labor? Looking into where all the dues of the members went and who’s pockets it find its way into.

• Well! I could tell the unions where the power they have will be no more, but why spoil the surprises.

• One thing that I've learned is that when the someone says " Its not about the ....... " , IT IS ABOUT THE ..... . So in the second paragraph it states " .... and has nothing to do with the president's failure to show in Wisconsin last week where labor unions led a failed recall election of Governor Scott walker ." The Union's just pissed away $20 million and their lead actor failed to show up for his job .

  What was Barry thinking ? Now these Union creeps might have to work for their wage increases , might have to work for their increased benefits , instead of paying off the whores , with someone else's money , to get their increases or benefits .

  In my opinion , the union creeps are just trying to send a message to those that are used to having taxpayers fund their campaigns .

• This is all about filling the Hillary Clinton in 2016 war chest. If Romney wins this November, there are some guarantees:

  1. By the middle of his term, the lamestream media will move from flaccid reporting on a booming economy (unemployment cascading to 5.8% in two years; $2.25/gallon gas; plummeting food prices, etc. )into overdrive to report how many people are being left behind and about all the failing safety nets.
  2. From Day One of the Romney presidency, we'll witness revisionist history pertaining to how he will/is now destroy/destroying America's standing in the world that President Obama worked tirelessly to build up after Bush destroyed Clinton's blah, blah, blah.
  3. And we'll be treated to endless soft-core media pieces reminiscing about the Clinton years; we'll hear tale after tale about how wonderful a time it was in the country under "their" leadership blah, blah, blah.

  There's just three. Anyone care to add to this list?

  • We'll also hear how the Republicans "stole" the election. It will have nothing to do with the Democrat's awful agenda and failed policies. Oh no! It will have everything to do with (1) Republicans spent more money; (2) People are fickle (3) people are stupid (4) Obama was just too darn smart and cool to "connect" with the folks (5) etc. etc. etc.

  • The MSM will lead the parade with the wailing and gnashing of teeth over the demise of Obamacare. There will be endless stories about people dying because they have no access to healthcare, forgetting that they are drug addicts/alcoholics that never sought treatment until it was too late.

  Truth of the matter is the private employee union goals are diverging from the public employee unions. The latter is basically driving to increase salary and bennies for gov't employees... how are these funded? State and local taxes. But with the economy struggling, those increased taxes are much more of a burden than they were during the boom and are pushing companies to go to low-tax states and/or overseas (not Europe.) I'm sure the private unions are more upset about Obama's green agenda (killing coal hurts the Mineworkers and killing the pipeline hurts machinists, pipefitters, etc) than the public unions are. The latter don't care who pays the taxes as long as somebody does.

• Could this be the beginning of a draft Hillary movement? I don't think so, the Democrats won't pull the rug from under the first minority President.

  But I think the AFL-CIO dug itself into a multi-million dollar hole in its futile attempt to recall governor Scott Walker and now it has to economize.
