• In the first sentence the article describes the Iran sellout as a "success"; I shudder to think what Politico would consider a failure.

• So when energy costs "Necessarily Skyrocket" and even more companies leave because they can't afford to make anything here, their will be plenty more jobs available in the Unicorn Fart industry?

  • The unicorn fart industry will cease to exist as it is taxed and regulated due to excessive methane emissions.

    • But they keep saying that Unicorn emissions are carbon neutral, and even if they aren't, I'm sure they will give them an exemption, much like the Solar Farms that fry all the birds.

• So my Mom was complaining that those lame ass bulbs that take forever to light up and sometimes don't light right cost 8 something almost 9 dollars for ONE. So I told her... Mom... you do know that Obama, speaking for the environment, essentially orchestrated the removal of the old bulbs that you know for these supposed better more environmental friendly bulbs? That people were too stupid and too ignorant and too into their own crap that they did nothing to stop him? And this is the reason why you are now complaining about this?

  She had no idea... :-/ This is why folks our country is going down the drains... people are allowing people like Obama to make "small" decisions that intrude more and more into our lives and it is not until we have to shell out money we don't have to pay for it that we come to realize that something is not quite right... SMH

  • Actually Kimmy, the beginning of the end of incandescent light bulbs occurred under Dubyah in 2007. That's when it was decreed they would be phased out under the "Energy Independence and Security Act".

    Of course, democrats were in charge of the House and Senate at the time and I imagine they didn't have their hands in the back pockets of many companies that manufacture light bulbs. The new ones being more expensive and not living up to longevity claims probably makes these companies happy anyway.

    Not long after this garbage was initiated, Home Depot had a great deal on 60 and 100 watt bulbs, something like $3 for 16 of them if I remember right and I stocked up every time I went in there until they stopped selling them. I have one shelf in my garage stacked with them so I'll be good for awhile.

    • Did Obama reverse that? No. In fact making GE part of administration with Immelt, whose company benefited greatly. Bush is a Progressive and a bleeding heart, and an idiot but this this was in the end the Democrat's baby that was truly born under Obama. I will bet you anything the fool didn't read it. Anyone who took the time to know what was real could have asked Congress to reverse it, but that would not be so under Obama. This is why I didn't want the so called Patriot Act. You would think Democrats who are supposedly bastions of freedom would have reversed that, or let it phase out... noooo instead it got renewed and expanded. People ask me why I hate governments so much... It is hard to know where to begin.

      • Don't get me wrong, I certainly don't disagree and in no way, shape or form did I expect 0 to reverse it, rather the opposite. He made that much abundantly clear before he even secured the nomination in 2008.

        Democrats did a lot of big talking about the Patriot Act, etcetera leading up to that election cycle but I knew they were just blowing smoke up peoples' a$$es. I personally don't hate the government, I just hate what it has become. It strayed from its intended purpose many moons ago.

        • Human governments always lead to failure. I do agree that it has its purposes, but like you said they never keep straight for long.
