Al Gore hates New Jersey

Some environmentalists say New Jersey should consider not rebuilding everything lost to storm Sandy. Damn Al Gore! If he can predict the temperature of any point on the planet fifty million years from next Tuesday at four then surely he must have known exactly where this storm was going to strike and what points would be receiving damage and what points would be spared. But did he use this information to help those most in need? No. And why didn’t he? Well that much is clear. It is because Al Gore hates the people hardest hit by this disaster . . . women and minorities.

    • That doesn't always work. I was watching TV last night, they showed some places on the Jersey Shore that were on stilts and now all that's left is the stilts, the house is gone.

  • I grew up on Long Island and lived there through a number of hurricanes and nor'easters. About every ten years there's a really bad storm that damages or destoys beachfront homes. If you want to build your house or vacation home on the dunes, go ahead, but it's your responsibility and your dime. If you chose to build where you can walk to the beach be aware, one day, that the Ocean is going to knock down your bungalow. Don't expect the government (i.e. the taxpayers) to rebuild for you, get private flood insurance, be responsible and don't complain when the next storm comes along. The Atlantic Ocean is going to do what it wants to do.

Hey, you can do what I did and move to Wisconsin---no hurricanes, no earthquakes, just cold waves and blizzards.

    • This is exactly my point Elrond. Build a house 50 feet fro the water, don't bitch when the water comes a callin'! And they have GOVERNMENT flood insurance, just like the morons in Florida and Alabama who live literally over the water. They all had adequate warning this storm was coming, that it would mix with a low coming in from the west, and originally the thought was the upcoming n'oreaster was coming in at the same time. This was a CAT 1 storm.. THe same people crying now had no sympathy for the Mid Atlantic states and the Gulf states that deal with this every year. So how do you like it now?

  • There is a select group of mental midgets that says this after every major storm, earthquake, etc. I say rebuild it bigger and better, screw the environazi's and the endangered species they rode in on.

  • Send him to Italy. They'll be happy to convict him for failing to predict where the landfall would be and what amount of damage/flooding would be done.
