Another false alarm. This "ebola epidemic" hysteria is quite laughable.
People are scared and rightly so. The can't get a straight answer anywhere as to their risk, preventative measures, or what is being done. The CDC is giving a different set of information every other day. Ignorance leads to panic. They have nowhere to turn for trustworthy information.

The fact that BOTH parties are making this political is a complete disgrace to America.
Patient #1 was in contact with 60 and only 2 of them caught Ebola (the two nurses that had the closes interaction with them). Those two nurses are now quarantined and safety measures are being taken. The chances of this becoming an epidemic is small. If you want to be concerned with the health of Americans, we need the media to encourage everyone to get a flu shot. More people die each year from the flu.
Patient #1s damage hasn't been completely determined yet, there are still people under quarantine, including his family. We won't know for a while how much damage he has done.
I was under the impression that it can take up to 21 days for some to develop symptoms upon contracting ebola. If so, hasn't it already been 3 weeks?
No, the 21 day thing is just a poke in the dark, there is no definite timeframe for Ebola. I heard on the news today that it can be anywhere from 9 to 45 days, and his family is still in quarantine.
You're not wrong but the incompetence on display in Washington exposes how vulnerable we are to any large-scale emergency. Bottom line is the federal government is not good at very many things.
Make sense. A large, expansive federal government cannot be efficient. This is why federalism works.

The passenger had to be restrained when he insisted on following Nigerian Ebola protocol which consists of vomiting out the window.
