Amazon.com has promised to hire 7,000 more people in California if the state puts a recently enacted online sales tax on hold for two years, More jobs, lower cost of living for consumers . . . yeah there is no way good government is going to let those greedy corporate bastards get away with that crazy scheme.

Not likely. There will probably be actual WORK involved. Actual experience in the workplace is not a resume enhancer for the Liberal elite.
When it collapses financially, and it will, the American taxpayer will bail out California. It is the welfare queen of the 57 states.

Whatever can be done to destroy jobs, prosperity, & freedom, California will do it. It used to be the "Golden State", but not anymore. The state has become a joke, & it's become a burden to the rest of the nation. There was a time I would have moved there in a heartbeat, & now I'm glad I never did.
It's in the California State Constitution - cutting taxes is unfair to, uh, somebody or other, so it can't be done. Besides, if taxes were cut, prosperity might break out and give Progressives a bad case of the heebie-jeebies, thus raising mental health care expenditures.
