American hostage Luke Somers killed during rescue attempt. At this point in Barack Obama’s third term of the Jimmy Carter presidency, is there a shred of doubt in anyone’s mind that the Commander-in-chief is personally responsible for screwing this up somehow?

President Waffle strikes again. But then what the hell it is only a hostage, and there is still time to golf today.
The way this jerk Operates, the terrorists have better intel from him than we do. He trusts everyone BUT us. Since he already invited Mexico to invade the southern half of the country, maybe he can have Canada take the northern half of the country and he can be president for life of North America. Until he helps the Islamic extremists take the whole shooting match, and he can be Mullah Omar Obama.
Canada gets the northern half? I can live with that. Good luck to my fellow Americans who end up in the Mexican half.
Everything this president touches turns to caca.
Either he caused insufferable delays by his indecisiveness, or he notified Muslim allies in Yemen who cannot be trusted, or he included Muslim members of his national security team who could not be trusted. We'll find out for sure in a year or two.
All possibles but I don't think you have to dig even that deep: "The raid was the second failed operation by United States forces to rescue Mr. Somers from Yemen in less than two weeks."
I think they may have suspected something was up all on their own.

I was going to say, he either delayed giving the go ahead, or gave the go ahead, changed his mind, then changed his mind, again.
This was the second rescue attempt. The first one failed because the hostage had been moved. That certainly sounds like there was a delay upstream somewhere. Maybe Valerie Jarrett was at a dinner party that day.
Off the mark there, I think. According to the story, Somers had been moved, but they freed 8 others and killed a bunch of ragheads. Doesn't make sense for scenario where they knew trouble was about to drop in.
