So which wing of the flying jackass does one drink from? If you get the 'butt' end, are you the odd man(woman) out? It's one of those really complicated, adult, made for prime-time, international politics, diplomatic kind of questions us low brows in fly over country just don't have the nascent intelligence to grasp.

In a grotesque, "epic facepalm" kind of way, yes, it is an absolute gutbuster of a belly laugh.
It is funny to me because as the piece says, a more diplomatically cunning government like 19th century Britain would have done it to send an unmistakable message whereas this administration doesn't know what it is doing and probably just screwed up like the Russian reset button.
Now where the administration sent unmistakable messages is when it gave the Queen an iPod and returned the bust of Winston Churchill. In other words, the administration only intentionally insults traditional allies.
