What are they slipping in the water over there at the University of East Anglia? First the school was implicated in the ClimateGate scandal and now they’re telling us that animals have a right to privacy.
The Guardian UK spills the beans:
Wildlife documentary makers are infringing animals’ rights to privacy by filming their most private and intimate moments, according to a new study.
Footage of animals giving birth in their burrows or mating crosses an ethical line that film-makers should respect, according to Brett Mills, a lecturer in film studies at the University of East Anglia.
We’re not sure we can trust this information any more than we can trust the University of East Anglia’s ClimateGate numbers.
Obama, the IHTM office cat, is shameless. He will hump anything that moves and a lot of things that don’t. He’s like a feline Bill Clinton. We’ve never attempted to film his amorous actions, but it appears that if he saw a camera, he’d tell us he was ready for his close-up.

This article's title is malicious and misleading. The linked article mentions nothing about "animal rights activists." It only references Brett Mills, *a lecturer in film studies* Even if he were an animal rights activist, which the article doesn't state that he is, he is a single person.
Rather than focusing on abstract things like a nonhuman animal's "right to privacy," (as far as I know, privacy is a human concept) I would focus more on an animals right to not be treated as property. For more information on that, feel free to check this website:

Reminds me of a time I was in the Sierras off roading. I went down an old logging road, the rangers actually had a sign up beside the road to be quiet so we didn't disturb mating mountain lions. Strange but true.
Have you seen the signs that say that humans can't crap in the woods? Seriously. All the animals can, but we can't. And likely those that made that rule are the same ones who say that people really are just animals.
Everything is upsidedown.
as long as they dont disturb the animals, they dont care. i think this is stupid.
LOLOLOLOLOL This is the stupidest thing I heard all day.
Many animals have no problems with privacy. This is because animals have no sense of shame, it's caused by something else, probably fear, because then the most vulnerable.
Considering that most animals die before the age of 18, and all of them are naked, filming them is now arguably child porn... and suddenly way more hawt!
thats odd, because much smarter animals than those normally documented (lets say, dogs) havent got a problem with shitting all over the place right in front of you, or banging each other while looking you in the eye.
