Another classroom Bless-you dictator

Another classroom “Bless you” dictator. Assistant professor of chemistry Leon Gardner at the College of Coastal Georgia will reduce the final grade of any student who says “Bless you” after someone sneezes… up to 15% if they commit multiple infractions of his prohibition.

  • So I guess I will get A's if someone sneezes and I jump up and scream "I'm slicing your throat the next time you sneeze"?

    • I'd say the two are the same. But what does Bless You have to do with any particular religion? Does Islam have a saying that's similar? Would that be ok to utter when someone sneezes?

      • "Does Islam have a saying that’s similar?"

Yes, Islam has a couple sayings. If you are not Muslim, they say, "Unfortunately I see you still live, infidel cur!" and if you are Muslim, they say, "Unfortunately I see you still live, so no virgins for you, brother!"

    • Considering their aversion to anything God related, it might be fun to find out what happens if they here a "Hell Satan". Seriously though, these people are cultural Marxists, & have done great damage to America. They need to be called out, & fought at every turn. They need to be made as uncomfortable & miserable as their students have been made to feel.

  • I wish I had the time and the wherewithal to take some of his classes. I would say 'God Bless You' and hope somebody is filming it.

    • Here's mine:

What about "Gesundheit"? Or "Salute`? Can we say those? I was raised in a traditional Portuguese home and we say Salude`. That's what I'd say.

Or if I burp, can I say "Pardon me?" Or "Excuse me?"
How about "Sure tasted better going down!?

  • What might happen if a kid says "Gesundheit" instead? I suspect this idiot professor would praise him for his Germanic ideals and invite him to the next faculty swastika party.

    • The two responses have similar origins. "God bless you" comes from a time when the plague or smallpox or something (can't remember) was decimating Europe and when people sneezed bystanders were afraid it was a first symptom so they would say "God bless you" in a pessimistic tone while vacating the area as fast as they could. "Gesundheit" means "health" and probably started in a similar manner. The big difference, of course, is the word "God" which is why one response is banned by educators and the other isn't. This is about militant atheism, not interrupting classes.

      • I wish these educators would post the separation clause to every wall in every classroom in every public school! That way everyone will be on the same page.

What? There's no separation clause? You mean this is all bullshit?

        Never mind.

  • This is easy. Sue the living shit out of this fascist for civil rights violations. Sue the living shit out of the university. Then have a talk with the local DA, the state AG, and the feds. It will end right quick.

Also id any kid doesn't get an A blame the bias of this fascist and press for an A.
