Another reason why having the Super Bowl in New Jersey is a dumb idea. If Denver loses, Peyton Manning will earn the $46,000 losers’ share and have to pay New Jersey income taxes of $46,844 on it… that’s in addition to whatever federal income taxes he will owe.

When I moved to Texas the entire state was Democratically controlled. Everyone registered as a Democrat, because most races were decided in the primaries. Not interested in returning to that.
Taxation is clearly out of control on many levels. But it is our fault, the taxes we pay were implemented by people who we voted for. Hearing El-Rushbo discuss this today was interesting, & made me angry.
We have the government we deserve because we voted them there. I use the term "we" as referring to the entire population. Obviously some of us were a little sharper than others in our choices, but clearly the majority of voters thought these tools were ok. And now Texas is under a national liberal attack called Battleground Texas where they are supplying money and people to try and help the local Democrats take over Texas again.

I think having a snow Super Bowl once in a blue moon might be neat, but I'm thinking this experience is going to move the Super Bowl back to domes and warm weather for the considerable future.

But as democrat party commisars come to realize how much they can make, they might "suggest" to the NFL that is it important to spread the wealth around and put games every year in under-priviledged, democrat controlled cities that need money. That is every city the democrats control, the their goal will be to have games permanently under democrat party control. In the future we can expect games in Chicago. LA, NYC, Detroit, SF, DC, and occasionally elsewhere when an up and coming democrat party candidate (like Hilary) needs support and publicity.

And if they can pull this stuff on a famous, rich athlete, imagine what they can do to the rest of us. I looked at a map of New Jersey the other day while I was earning money - do I now owe them income tax?

Because he actually played in NJ. They have a jock tax. They get money from every pro player that comes there for a game, regardless of where he lives or plays.
