Another Republican politician without a spine. Jan Brewer vetoed Arizona’s new religious freedom legislation, pretending in her press conference that it was a drastic erasure of gay rights even though all it did was bring Arizona into line with about thirty other states.

Politician and spine are an oxymoron. For all the bullshit they spout, they'll be the first to run like hell when the going gets tough.
Both. The law was created so that the radical gay community couldn't file suit against a private business that didn't wish to perform wedding cakes, pictures and the like.
But the opponents acted like it was going to require businesses to post someone at the door, checking to make sure nobody gay got into a restaurant or store.
A few NSA intercepts here, a little political blackmail there - and voila! Instant social conscience!

I blame Roger Goodell and the NFL. Seriously. No governor could sacrifice that much economic activity. She did what she had to do and she did it under duress.
That's exactly it. She was pressured by the businesses that are hoping for a huge payday when they host the Super Bowl.
