AP decides Global Warming skeptics are no longer skeptics. Other skeptics, like those skeptical of ESP or UFOs, were not willing to share the term with people who have doubts about AGW. So the AP peremptorily renamed us:
“Our guidance is to use climate change doubters or those who reject mainstream climate science and to avoid the use of skeptics or deniers.”

I'm a skeptic. I'm skeptical that AP qualifies as a news outlet instead of a propaganda outlet.
In reading the article, I get the feeling that they look at "skeptics" as being true scientists, and those who are skeptical of climate change as whackos.

I was thinking I fit in the category of climate truther.
These can only be one reason for this change. Backlash that is costing them $$$. "This is costing us business and money folks! Soften the rhetoric a bit and call those backwards hillbillies doubters. They're so stupid they'll think we are on their side"
A sceptic (of AGW) by any other name would be as correct.
