Yesterday’s AP story about Rand Paul endorsing amnesty for illegal aliens? Totally untrue. AP writer Erica Werner wrote that Senator Paul wants illegals to gain citizenship but he didn’t even use the word “citizenship” in his whole speech.

It is my understanding that a while back he indicated support for path to citizenship. I never heard that he was for amnesty. Besides, we've done amnesty like 3-4 times since 1960 and it doesn't work. THe current illegals will not report in to get the amnesty, and offering amnesty repeatedly makes illegals think that if they just wait it out without getting caught, eventually they too will get amnesty and get to stay.
