Appeals court overturns Michigan constitutional amendment. The Sixth U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati ruled that Michigan’s ban on race-conscious admissions to public unversities, voted into the state constitution in 2006 by 58% of the voters, was a “form of political manipulation that placed excessive burdens on minority interests.” In other words, not placing a burden on white kids is a burden on the other kids.

I was in a Burger King the other day, and their corporate sponsored TV program was running on the three big screens in the dining area. They ran a PSA that basically said, wouldn't it be nice if EVERYONE could finish college?
I, of course, being the big meanie that I am, asked, "Who's gonna drive the trash truck?"
Everyone told me what an ass I was, but nobody was able to answer the question.
Soon, before the advent of automated garbage men, we will see new developing arts. A big one will be Refuse Collection and Analysis, for the purpose of tracking the waste habits of the individuals, knowing what one consumes and utilizes, and any patterns, or aberrations thereof. Oh man, PhD's and everything. Vastly more useful in the conduct of the upcoming police state than, say, maybe... What did you say (or poppajoe49) that one troll got his degree in, was it Lesbian Animal Husbandry? That was it, yes.

Well if this is good enough for education, then it has to be good enough for pro sports right? There needs to be equal representation in all aspects of society and pro sports are no different. Forgot about the best for the job or qualified, there needs to be numbers involved.
I'm pretty sure pro sports already hire more minorities than whites. There won't be any lawsuits there.
That is my point, they bring in the best for the job and nothing else matters. That is the way it should be. All this damn ruling says is that "some are too stupid to get into college with out some type of quota to do so." It is insulting and demeaning, yet many can not see that.
Liberal judges, and I use that term loosely, legislating from the bench goes against everything our constitution stands for. It's a shame these positions are appointed instead of elected and it's a damn shame that those sitting on the bench do not have term limits.
My education at the college and university level damn near forty years ago was progressive enough then for me to recognize it for what is was then and the 'education' has only gotten worse in the ensuing decades. Today, sending your kids to college, means sending them to an indoctrination camp. Uncle Joe would be Sooo proud.

Yeah, & I'm sure everyone wants a doctor who only got into college because of affirmative action quotas who graduated in the bottom 1/3 of his class working on you rather then a doctor who earned everything he got because they were that damn good. Top of their class, etc, etc...
