• Seems to me caring jobs would be the first to go once robots are programmed to babysit and tend to the elderly or bedridden.

  • That would be an excellent use for them and it would free up resources that could be used to better ends. Of course they never understand that. Come up with a better method of farming they focus on the farm hands that are out of work instead of the increased food production, lower cost of living and the tens of thousands of new types of jobs that technology creates, most of which are far better than spending all day digging in dirt.

    • Timely post as a Cesar Chavez biopic looms. Wonder how many people were consigned to a life of picking fruit the way people did 2000 years ago as opposed to farmers being allowed to mechanize reaping efforts thereby reducing costs and increasing productivity?
