Arlen Specter dies: Magic Bullets and Unicorn Killers aside we thought we’d try and say something nice about Specter. So yeah, the wall of sound was pretty cool. Seriously though -and despite our philosophical disagreements with the man- we hope his passing was easy, he is in a better place and this process is not too hard for his family and friends.

Arlen was a poster child for Term Limits, A self serving scumbag who was more then happy to screw over the whole country, I hope Adolf and Joe Stalin use him as a sex toy in hell.

If you do believe in Heaven and Hell, the how do you know he's in "a better place". Myself, I don't care what he's doing, at least he isn't doing it to us any longer!
That's why he's in a better place, better there than in the Senate!
Maybe Arlen should have borrowed some of Phil's wigs.

"I spoke ill of him when he was alive, no need to do so now that he’s dead. Really though one of the greatest things he did was switch to the Democrat party in 2009, had he not it would have essentially been a D v D battle for senate in PA in 2010. Instead he became a D (lost the primary) and a R went on to win the senate seat. That was not his plan, but his failed plan to win reelection actually helped the country a bit.
Also a good time to bring up term limits. Thirty years in the Senate… way to long. I say cut these peoples pay to a dollar below their states average income, and 2 terms in the Senate 6 in the House is long enough, then go find a real job." -me
Funny-you used the Phil Spector joke-they both were scumbags. Both murders in my book. However, Arlen's treason puts him a few floors below Phil in the depths of hell.......Like the pineapple room with Hitler and the boys-where there's no Preparation H and lots of very sharp pineapples!!!!!
Yeah Phil Spector ended up being a lousy guy. And he pretty much 'effed up Let it Be.
Spector was'nt a traitor, but he is an excelent example of what is wrong with our political system. He switched parties for his own purposes twice, & got way too comfy on Capital Hill after getting there.
I do wish his familly well at this sad time for them. I also want to see how this plays with the Glenn Beck radio show, & with Pat Gray in particular.
I wish his family well of course, But I will certainly not miss such a politician.
Yeah, I don't like to speak ill of the dead either so I won't call him a traitorous political opportunist who provided the 60th and final vote for legislation sentencing me to healthcare slavery simply so he could enhance his chances at reelection. Nope, I'll take the high road.

I'm with you Sidekick....1980-2010 - a long term career for bilking/lying to the American Tax Payer. If ever anyone had a face for term limits, this most confused politician would certainly win the prize!

Yes, but they have to call him a moderate. Otherwise some folks out there might figure out that Romney (who really is at best a moderate) isn't the "far extreme of the right wing" that they've been proclaiming him to be.
