At least 12 people killed in shooting at Navy building in Washington. More ‘workplace violence’ like Fort Hood? Crazed Tea-Partiers? Al Qaeda wannabees? Terrorist Veterans? Time will tell. Whomever they are, they shouldn’t be breathing anymore as far as we’re concerned.

  • So, now Obumbles is taking "Executive Action" as a result of the Navy Yard Shootings. How appropriate that he would further his unconstitutional agenda on Constitution Day (BTW, Happy Constitution Day, everyone!)

  • Yet again we see what happens in gun free zones. More dead and the shooter left to go unchallenged. Even on a Naval Installation. What in the hell is going on our military bases? Personnel are trained to use weapons and when on a base they are forced to place their weapons in an amory, under lock and key.

    It's time to permit US Military personnel to be armed and carrying.

      Soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen come back from a war zone and (even if they were only doing office work over there) the first thing that happens upon arrival is a sit-down with a mountebank in a white smock who instantly sets them up with some psychoactive poison - the side effects of which include "suicidal or homicidal thoughts or actions." But, hey! Apart from creating a few soul-deadened mass-murdering monsters here and there, they're wonder drugs! A godsend!

      • Agreed and if they refuse the "medicine" they are put under surveillance and harassed until they compile or until they leave the military and they forfeit their benefits. Ask Iraqi or Afghanistan vets. They are asked some of the most intrusive questions.

        Guess we need to get use to the questions now that barrycare is about to be shoved down our throats.

        • If it isn't the meds, then what? Virtually every mass shooting involves someone on anti-depressants or ssri drugs. The only exception seems to be Fort Hood.

          • Check the other item that the last three had in common. Violent video games. Where's the pressure and out cry to ban those or restrict their access?

            Those with mental issues fill their fantasies off these games until they no longer fill that void or rush. Which then leads to the next level of action.

            Now it's being reported that there was no AR-15 involved. It was a shot gun and two pistols. The pistols are believed to have been already in the building and Alexis brought the shot gun in with him.

          • I'm gettin' really tired of the media (which I hate; that's why I'm on this site) having all manner of discussions about WHY there is an increase in suicide. They bring in "experts" for panel chats, they go down every path to hunt out the reason... except the drugs that have the KNOWN side effect of suicide!

            It's like trying to figure out why the house burned down, but we're not allowed to bring up the 5-year-old playing with matches and a gas can in the living room.

  • Ya know why this shit doesn't happen in Russia or China, et al. Because these asssholes that did this would be dead by Thursday. Instead they will be media celebrities. Media fawning over their misfortune to have been led to this violence by Republicans and Tea Party types. They will bask in the limelight for many years until we get a trial, then a retrial, then an appeal of the appeal, etc. Yep, attach about 100 thousand volts on Thursday and game over. Let positive lead goes on the right nut and and negative on the left nut.

    • Poor Aaron Alexis was probably frustrated by the Republicans' refusal to rubber-stamp Obama's attack on Syria. If they had okayed the attack, Aaron would have collected overtime money loading cruise missiles on Navy ships at the Naval Yard. So yes, it's Republicans' fault.

      Two observations: one, oui is French for yes so Oui might be a Democrat flying high on the passion of Obama's "Yes we can!" motto; and two, anyone who grew up having to learn how to spell "Sathamtewakui" probably didn't have time to learn the difference between Buddhism and Islam so the jury is still out on the religion of this guy.

  • Hilarious how many people don't realize military bases are gun free zones. They are trying to use this as proof we need gun control. It's proof AGAINST in MoFos. It was a gun free zone. Just like Ft Hood. Didn't stop it. If people had been packing heat. We might have fewer dead.

  • Did anyone catch the news confab with the D.C. cadre? Wow oh wow, I'm amazed they have electricity and plumbing that functions with that group of rocket surgeons in charge. The U.S. Rep from D.C. called it a "revolving investigation."

    How does someone like this get an AR-15 onto a base? Yea he used a stolen ID but do they let anyone in who has a weapon?

    Why is the Goobermint already stating this guy has a "change in employment status"....was he fired? Perhaps so they can claim another workplace violence incident like Fort Hood?

      Turns out it wasn't stolen ID, and if you have proper ID, they don't check your vehicle when you enter a military base, BTW, he only had a shotgun when he entered the base.

    • They do not always check very good, that's how. They do not always search trunks, under seats, etc. If they did people arriving at work Monday morning would get in about time to go back home on Friday.

      Ask me how many times I drove into NAS Alameda by using a different gate, opening my wallet and flashing my driver's licence that the guard assumed was a military ID and waived me right on in.

      FYI if you had tried this at the old Onizuka AFB where they controlled satellites, you would have been shot in 2 seconds flat. I think they had better security than the NSA and CIA combined.

      Tell the guard at the main gate you're there to see Admiral such-and-such and they waive you right on in.
