First off it will be devastating for the economy and most especially the middle class people that have seen their cost of living explode over the last four years. Second there is never any compromise. This time will be like all the others. They’ll take all the money coming in from these taxes, before the taxes themselves drop revenue by tanking the economy even further, and with it they’ll buy more votes and crony favors without ever having cut penny one.

Some environmentalists say New Jersey should consider not rebuilding everything lost to storm Sandy. Damn Al Gore! If he can predict the temperature of any point on the planet fifty million years from next Tuesday at four then surely he must have known exactly where this storm was going to strike and what points would be receiving damage and what points would be spared. But did he use this information to help those most in need? No. And why didn’t he? Well that much is clear. It is because Al Gore hates the people hardest hit by this disaster . . . women and minorities.
